A/T tires

I am considering the Continental AT also. Was hoping someone on here a good picture of them mounted on their truck.
I’ve been running the Continental Terrain Contact A/Ts in 285/45R22 size on my 2019 Limited for 12,000 miles now and I couldn’t be happier. The ride is great and the traction on and off road is impressive, especially wet pavement. Also very quiet. They are a tad more rugged looking than the stock Goodyears (absolute garbage stock tire in my opinion - only got 24k miles on them before they needed replacing). No change in MPG with new tires.

Thanks for the pics. Have you driven them in snow? Website reviews have said they aren't that good in snow. Thanks.

There some YouTube vids of the venom power tires reviewed in the snow too if interested

So I ended up swapping the Dynapro II for the Michelin Defender LTX (not an AT) after the dealer warned that going from 285 to 305 tires could affect warranty in the future. I think he's wrong, but don't have the patience to **** with them in the future on it. Discount Tire remains awesome though as they swapped me out at no charge and agreed the dealer is an idiot.

That is silly. What they meant was that your Speedo would be off so like the rest of the people that have increased their tire size we have also adjusted the speedo via various methods. Some people take the trucks in without reverting to stock and the dealers are happy to void your warranty for tampering with the computer.

2019 Ram 1500 ORP “long bed” - setting #5 bilsteins, 2”mopar ucas, hellwig sway bar, tonneau cover, bed mat, 20” Laramie sport wheels on 285/60r20 falkens. Flowmaster outlaw.

Completely agree and understand. I spend about 99% of my time on highway so I said screw it, I don't want to deal with dumb people in the future. And I'd likely be an idiot and forget to revert to stock if I changed it myself, and then have myself to blame for being the dumb person ;)

I literally just did what you are looking for today. Slapped some AT3s, 285/45r22s. So worth it.

2021 Laramie, crew cab, sport package, no lift.

Just had the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015s installed today on stock 22s in 285/45r22. Here are some pics just in case anyone wanted to see what they looked like. First pic is with the stock Goodyears for comparison. As you can see the Yokohamas aren't that aggressive, which I don't mind. Just wanted a tire that would be better in the minimal off-roading and snow driving I'll be doing, but not that much heavier to significantly affect MPGs or bigger to where it rubs. Drove about 13 miles back from Discount Tire and felt smooth with no noticeable road noise difference.

My son came to visit last week and he has a 2017 GMC Sierra with 20 inch wheels and I bought him some new KO2s. 275 55 R 20s. I thought they looked pretty good. I may get some for my Laramie. He drove about 800 miles on them and said they handled well. Just FYI. Here’s a couple pics. I got them at discount tires.

Those are the A/T3WA tires that are more paved road tread pattern than the more aggressive A/T3W tires.
From what the OP wrote those may do the trick. They came on my Built to Serve and ride great while still keeping some off road capability. Don't tow with them though. Cut to the chase, buy KO2'S and tow...

My son lives in the country on a dirt road and wanted something with a bit more tread-wall and those fit the bill. FWIW. I think they were around $1300 for all four tires with the warranty included...he needs the warranty for sure!

...

Your rear GAWR is 4100 lbs which is going to be your limiting factor if you discount GVWR ...
Anyone consider these? I've had 9 Generals egg a sidewall, but I seem to be a moth drawn to the flame. Not sure if Discount would hassle me for the "P" rating, but clearly fulfils the design of the axle. I do tow up to about 6000lbs.

Man I love those rims.
I wish I could get those without having to sell one of my kids to afford them.

I had BFG A/T's on one of my older Rams and loved 'em.

The trick that I'm using is checking what's available at local used tire shops. They usually have a lot of barely used all-terrain tires that people dispose off after installing 33' or 35' tires on their new rigs.

On my previous truck I've got Toyo Open Country in almost new condition for $200 (all 4 wheels, including installation). No brainer. That's my plan when my stock Duratracks will say good bye.

Went a little bit different direction with my AT tires. Ditched the 22" OEM wheels, bought some 20x9 Mayhem Ramage wheels with 275/55R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Needed an AT tire with great snow performance since I live in a ski town in the Colorado mountains at 9000'. The Duratracs performed well on my old Tundra. Will make a great deal on the 22" OEM wheels with the Goodyear Eagle Touring 285/45R22's with 2500 miles on the tires if anyone interested. Before / after pics attached.
