This is just “some” of the parts. Supposedly the rest are on “restriction.”

they will hopefully order them on the 12th and let me know.

I take my truck in on Thursday for it's last basic warranty visit (I'm at 35,700 miles). I expect some pushback on the TSB but it clearly states that if the customer complains about unbalanced temps or slow to cool that the repair should be made.

Obviously if I go in telling them about the TSB they can accuse me of just saying that to get the repair except I have 3 service visits in the last year where I complained about the A/C. So far my dealership has done a good job overall taking care of things so hopefully they do this time as well.

@RamCares may be able to help you. I’d suggest sending them a PM if the dealer gives you difficulty.

@RamCares, any chance you can share the parts list of what is getting replaced?

I have dual zone climate, gas with preheater and original tech told me evap canister is getting replaced. Just called another dealer to get the complete list and they said evap can is not included.

just trying to get total scope (I’m difficult), thank you!

We certainly can understand how the mixed responses you've received would be confusing. We would be happy to connect you to a specialist whom will ensure that your concerns are properly addressed by your preferred dealer. Please follow up with us in a private message to receive this support.

Adding to this thread, I dropped my truck off at the beginning of this week for several items that needed to be addressed.
1. A/C inadequate cooling (Parts are on order)
2. Rear brake moan (Fixed TSB)
3. Dash delaminating (Fixed Warranty Replacement)
4. Slow right turn grinding noise. (Unable to Replicate)
5. Mopar all weather floor mat recall. (Need to present recall paperwork)

I presented the TSB for the A/C which they ordered parts for. They are going to fix it but I needed my truck for the weekend and it made no sense for the truck to be sitting at the dealership until all the parts come in. I will get vent temperatures tomorrow and post some photos so that I have a before and after shots to compare once the TSB for the A/C has been completed.

I'm really glad there are some of you willing to step up first and take one for the team and report back. I'm not rushing in just yet.

I can see where some folks may be a little apprehensive to have the work performed, I mean it's a dash and it can be a little overwhelming for some. Most technicians (I understand that it's not all) have a mechanical inclination and are good with taking things apart and putting them back together. With that being said I have confidence that the repairs will be performed correctly and if not I am sure that my Dealership will make sure that any issues are addressed. They have always taken care of me and have addressed any issues with my vehicles.

OK, so I took some readings at the vents with the AC set at 74 degrees, outside temperature was 54. Fan Speed set to 3 and only the dash vents have been selected via the climate controls. This was taken after driving the vehicle for 45 minutes.
Drivers side vent - 78.6
Left center vent - 95.5
Right center vent - 115.3
Passenger side vent - 100.7

Just as a side note I did set the A/C temp to 70 and the vent temps drop dramatically. I was seeing temps in the upper 40's and lower 50's.

I will run a similar test and post a follow up after the repairs have been completed.

Those temperatures are crazy! If your readings are accurate (a probe in each vent, simultaneously, may be better than an IR gun?), you've got a 27F spread. That's just not right.

Ever figure out what causes #4?

So my truck has undergone the TSB repair. I don't know if it made a difference as it isn't all that warm currently, even in Houston!!!! Anyway the car seems to be put back together without issue, and I am very aware of minor changes/noises, etc., from my years working in an automotive assembly plant. I am attaching my service report for those interested. CamScanner 12-19-2020 08.58_1.jpg

This is exactly where I take my truck to. What’s the name of the guy that helped you out on this? Usually Kevin is the guy that helps me but I think I might go with the guy that helped you.

I'm super impressed that your SW actually acknowledged your awareness of the TSB and actually
didn't play the "we don't know about that one" game.

Give that SW credit, he didn't BS you , and got your concern addressed, that's professionalism. It's very rare these days at the dealers and should be praised!

Why would a dealer NOT want to perform a TSB? Don't they get paid to?

I will say I had two dealers declare they did not know of TSB. After showing one the TSB and dropping truck off is only way they were willing to order parts
