I put the clamp on first to test the recommendation in this thread. Being it worked, I left the clamp on for a moment to keep the coolant from dripping g while I disconnected the hose. The clamp is gone.

It doesnt matter how I have it set, its frigid.

I probably didn't ask this the right way. So users that have problems have tried setting A/C in manual mode displaying LO and on Recirculate? And after installing the clamp it makes a difference when using those settings?

I bet those clamp sets are Harbor Freight's best selling item in the past weeks! LOL

So, I'm picking up a Laramie next week that was ordered and built a few weeks ago. Can someone please tell me that the A/C issue has been corrected on new builds??

Nobody can tell you considering RAM has not acknowledged a problem exists. You will need to see if it's acceptable for you.

I am a new member here. Just took delivery of my 2019 Laramie yesterday. During 3 hours of driving yesterday evening, 88 degree day, I was absolutely fuming that the AC sucked so bad on my new truck. After a Google search, this thread came up and I became a member. I called my sales manager, told him of the Service Bulletin fix for the flapper, and I am scheduled for the fix next Monday. I also went to harbor freight and bought the clamps, and stopped by Advanced for the valve. I put the clamp on first for a quick test and interim solution until after my Dealer visit. I was expecting to not notice an improvement until I was driving for 5 or 10 minutes. The engine was after all still warm (200) from running this errand. But after clamping the hose, cranking it up and checking my hose for flow.... I got in for the test drive and my vents were already blowing so cold I could see the steam. It was frigid. I'm so ****ing frustrated I have to do this on a $80k truck you have no idea. 3 months out of the year here, you need heat and defrost in the AM and A/C in the afternoon. This is unacceptable but I am thankful I now have the coldest AC of any vehicle I've driven in the last 10 years. View attachment 26817

What service bulletin are you referring to? Anyone, please provide number or copy of this service bulletin. I can find no listing for such a service bulletin on this forum?

Hi everyone,
There was an issue with the TSB (24-001-19) where all of the VINs were not included. This has been corrected and the dealer system has been updated to reflect this change. I have reposted the TSB below. Please check to see if your build date falls within this TSB. This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after January 08, 2018 (MDH 0108XX) and on or before September 20, 2018 (MDH 0920XX) equipped with Air Conditioning (Sales Code HAA) with Air Cond ATC W/Dual Zone Control (Sales Code HAF). If it does, please send us a private message to ensure this is handled appropriately and we can get you in contact with someone who will work with your dealer towards a resolution. If you do not fall within the build dates and are experiencing this, please send our team a private message as we would like to make sure we have this properly documented to pass on to the appropriate parties. We do apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.

I've never heard of anyone actually having this done. Most folks that it the build range come back with "Dealer said it didn't apply". There may be some rare exceptions, but that's the common result here.

Per the RAM Cares post, I called and my dealer now says my vehicle qualifies for this TSB whereas last week it did not, so I think more people will find they can get the TSB done. I am bringing mine in tomorrow and will report how it works out.

Sending you a private message, Alex. My build date was 9/23/18, which is just outside the TSB's date range. But the coldest my AC blows out the center, drivers side vent is 52 degrees. I'll include my VIN in the private message.

Thanks.

Does anyone know what FCA considers an "acceptable" high-temperature limit coming out of the vents?

Too bad we have to do a "mad scientist" approach to get cold air. At least we don't have to plumb in a wood stove for heat in winter in a $50-$60k vehicle.....lol
