I had the same thing happen to me. I restarted the truck and it eventually started working again. Waiting for it to happen again and I'll video it happening before bringing it into the dealer.

Thanks Mark! It seems to be working after powering down and letting the truck sit overnight. If it happens again i will get to my dealer.

Same experience here. Working after letting sit overnight.

@RamCares I just purchased a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited on Monday and have had several experiences with the steering audio controls not responding. They come back to life eventually but fail to respond several times a day. I can still control the volume and change tracks/channels from the screen, but the wheel controls often fail. I took back to dealership twice regarding the issue but of course the controls start to respond again before my arrival. The shop foreman claims to have never seen this problem before. Was there ever a resolve to buckeyecool71's similar problem?

I apologize for the trouble, @infernandez. To clarify, when was the last time you addressed this with your dealer? Please do not hesitate to send over any additional details via private message so that I may escalate a case on your behalf for further support.

I'm also having the same situation. I've been using Android auto, but none of the left side or back of steering wheel controls work. Cruise, gear limit, and horn work though. Been an issue for a few days, so turning off and letting sit overnight hasn't seemed to fix mine. Any other possible solutions (aside from taking it into the dealership)?

Ran across the rear toggles not working on my wife 2019 GC once. I found that one of the buttons stuck after it was pressed, effectively disabling the rest. Cleaned the button after getting it released, has work ever since.

Any further resolutions on this? I am having this exact issue on my new 2500. Buttons do not feel like they are stuck, I have check fuse #49 which was mentioned in another forum.

I just bought a new '22 Ram 1500 Big Horn; I've literally driven it three times. Today the center button on both sides of the rear buttons has stopped working. The rocker buttons both work, but the center button is not.

Brand new 2022 Big Horn 1500 with less than a thousand miles... same issue. The rear rocker buttons work, the center buttons aren't working. My 2019 never had this problem. Any fixes for this?

Im having same issue with mine. 22 ram 8.4 uconnect 5 audio controls on wheel stopped working half a day a few weeks ago then started working again. Now they stopped working again today. Its going to the dealer Monday for the infamous wind whistling from the a pillar or ac box. I'll have them address this too.

I have a 22 1500 Big Horn with the 8.4" and the same problems with center buttons for audio not working sometimes. Problem comes & goes and may not work for days. Called my voice-mail using the 8.4" screen, hung up with steering wheel button and all buttons work after the call ends. This has immediately fixed it the last 3 times buttons stopped working. I think the buttons stop responding sometimes after a call but I'm not sure. Hope this works for others.
