Just put 33x12.5 22 Ridge Grapplers on yesterday. Laramie with steel suspension. 0 rubbing forward or reverse at full lock. I thought for sure I’d have to trim or mold plastic somewhere. Nope. View attachment 29998
Can you comment on the road noise versus the eagle touring? I have the 35 at2 extreme and they are noisy at hwy speeds

Honestly they are quieter than I thought they would be. If the eagles are a 2/10 road noise, I’d say the Nitto’s are a 4-5/10. You put any music on at all you aren’t hearing anything. It’s my understanding they will get slightly quieter when they break in too.

Hi there, first off thanks for the post and the truck looks great!

I have a blacked out version of the 2019 Laramie - looks like yours but black. I had a couple questions from the post here I wanted to confirm because I'm looking to do the same thing with my truck.

1. Tires - would you verify, are these the exact tire (I'm looking on discount tire):
NITTO
TERRA GRAPPLER G2
285 /45 R22 114H XL BSW

2. I saw your note on PSI at 70 and you trying to find the optimal PSI, any more feedback from that?

3. I see you went without a leveling kit - whats you're feedback there? Do you regret doing so? I have the same sport hood as you and I sort of feel lifting the front wont add much to the look. Your truck looks pretty good w/o the leveling kit and just the AT tires. Anyways, just your feedback so far, thinking about getting it leveled or happy as is?

Thank you!

Hey thanks for the kind words. The tire is a Ridge Grappler 33x12.5 22. Thats the actual tire size (what's printed on the tire). As far as pressure goes I'm right around 50psi and find the ride pretty good all things considered. I haven't taken it to 40psi yet because I feel 50 is a nice feel. I want to do a level kit pretty bad actually, but I blew out a stock tire and needed new rubber before I had the chance to level the truck. I'm very happy with the look as is but I'd be lying if I said I don't want to bring the front up at least 2 inches... I'll get to it when I have more disposable income in a year or so.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of the 2" spacers up front but saw this post and started to think maybe I could do without. Given what you said, I'd probably not be content to just stop with the tires though and end up getting the leveling kit too at some point. Thanks again, helpful post.

Any change to MPG?

Those wheels look familiar. I was looking at them online yesterday (. I didn't realize how stunning the "MATTE BLACK W/DARK TINT MILLED SPOKES" was. For some reason, it was one of the few wheels Black Rhino didn't have a video of.

Black Rhino lists the 22x9.5 6x139.7 as coming in a +10 and +25 (and the 20x9 in +0 and +15). Which is yours?

BTW, do you have the Off-Road Package one with a factory 1" lift?

When you chose the tire there were 2 similar options:

305/45R22 118T XL21774013.532.8011.939.5-(10.0)-11.52910@5047.53
33x12.50R22LT F 114Q21727016.432.7612.528.5-(10.0)-11.02600@8062.76

The 305/45 was a Euro-metric 4 ply. The 33x12.50 LT F is a 12 ply. They are the same diameter and only 1/2 difference in width. What made your preference for the 33x12.50, other than the way sexy size?

This might help with tire pressures. If I read it correctly, your equivalent tire pressure is (OEM 285/45R22 114H XL @36psi to 33x12.50R22LT F 114Q) is 65psi. For the 305/45R22 118T XL it would have been 34psi.

The rims on his truck are actually the factory RAM 22's that come on laramie sport models. I know this because I have the same rim on my truck and am wanting to upgrade my tires soon, hence why I started this thread!

How did you find the noise on the ridge grapplers vs stock?

Hey All, I was really looking at the 305/45/22 Nittos and came across this thread. When I look at the 33x12.5 -22 I see a few more options and am glad to see a LT option!! I tow and these Goodyear's SUCK with my camper back there!

Is anyone else running the 33/12.50 on their stock (non air) Ram's? I heard people saying 305/45s rub at full lock so I'm not sure how these 12.5 wide fit with no spacers, where a (305's) 12" rubs!

I'm debating between the Nitto Trail Grappler G2 and the Toyo OC ATII.

I've had the Toyo's on my 16 and wasn't overly impressed. They are better than the Falken at3 but I've never had Nittos.

I have a Laramie with the off-road package (+1" lift) and I bought the 22" sport/blackout wheels separate. I'm just trying to ensure I won't rub before dropping $1600 on TIRES.

I have read through so many forums and there is a LOT of conflicting info out there! Does anyone actually run 33x12.5r22 on stock steel suspension? The few I have seen are only on Limited with air suspension, not sure if this is a good indication of what will fit!

Might want to read my earlier posts.
