Went with a E rated 285/60/20 Goodyear Duratrac. A bit louder and a bit noiser but well worth it. Doesn't make sense to me to have a P rated tire on such a large heavy vehicle empty let alone loaded/towing

I considered 285 or wider but didn't want E load and thought the 305/50 was only a small difference. Ended up with 275/60/20 Ridge Grapplers to replace the stock 275/55/20 stock ones. Much better imo.
This is what I'm doing too. I have the Readylift 2" level being installed on the 14th. I'll be going from the stock 18" wheels to a 20x9+18 with the XL Ridge Grapplers. Still torn on what wheel will look the best on the black truck with chrome bumpers.
Also may try to be patient and wait until spring to get thru another salty winter...

I ordered a set of 295/55R20 Ridge Grapplers. To me, a 9" rim is too wide for 275s. I don't like the look of a rounded sidewall. The 295 section width will line up better with the 9" wide wheel. Once I get them mounted I'll post up pictures of what I am talking about.
The ride difference won't matter to me.

The 275/55/20 that was standard looked small in comparison to the 275/60/20 imo. The extra 1" in height along with the type of tire makes a difference to me. The tire size you've chosen is almost an inch wider but is shorter. The good thing is there are multiple choices to satisfy almost any taste. Look forward to your pics.

Yup I love how it fills the wheel wells!!!!!
So on a stock suspension u can run 285 60 20s?
I have weather tech mudflats too so that kinda shores up the room. So that may rub on turning...

I'm happy w my 275 60 20s gor now:)

I have a Limited with OEM 20's. Do you have the Off-Road package (+1" suspension)? I have the off-road and am wondering how much bigger I can go on tire size with the stock wheels.

Truck looks awesome. Did you have to lift or level at all? Also, any rub when truck drops to Aerodynamic? Thanks.

I stayed with the 275 60 r20’s. I didn’t want the heavier tire for gas mileage. I went with the Kumho AT 51, as I live in the mountains. It seems to be a perfect set up for me. The debate was between the Kumho and BFGoodrich 285 60.

I love my 285/60/20 K02s. With the 2 inch level, they work out great. I need to give it a wash so I can post pics and update my profile shot... ;)

I went with 275 60 20 Conti TerrainContact A/T. I wanted something as light as possible to preserve MPG with no road noise but more aggressive looking than the stock Bridgestones. 275 is a touch narrow and they don't look as good as a 285 60 20 does but they are a good 15 lbs lighter with zero road noise and look better in person than the pics. Might add some BORA 1.25" wheel spacers to push the stance out a bit.

Billet, I like the idea of saving weight. I think the conti's look great for what they are. How has your MPG been so far after install? Also, in regards to the Bora spacers I thought we had to do at least a 2" spacer due to the length of the original studs? Is that not accurate?

Do not do 10 ply. It'll kill the ride. I had 35's on my 4th gen for awhile and between the noise (mt's) and the ride, i couldnt stand it. After a year i went back to 33" AT tires.

That said, i have 275/60/20 on my Laramie sport and love it. I also have the rear lowered on 2" drop springs.

I only have about 75 miles on them so it's too soon to tell on the MPG but the lie-o-meter hasn't changed and all my driving has been stop and go city. The factory OEM wheels have relief pockets cast into them. You can run as short as 1.25" without modifying the studs, and Muttmutt on here used 1" spacers on the front and said he had to grind off about 1/16" on the ends of the studs for clearance.
