Morning! i've dug around here a bit looking for a solution but not seeing my problem exactly, hoping someone has a solution.
i have a new to me 23 ram 1500 rebel with 5.7 i bought the obd programmer and gateway bypass from the alfaobd web site (i have both alfoobd on an android tablet, an because i'm persistant i also have the pc version and a usb obd programmer.. )
i am trying to add a new key fob. (i have the key new fob, and its still in the plastic because i havent gotten this far in the process yet to take it out)
i know the gateway bypass is working, as i was able to turn on the bed cargo lights.
when i try to do the key programming i go to the rf hub and select retrieve key. everything works as advertised up to that point. but i get a message there that says something to the effect of "retrieval failed, invalid key" (i should have taken a pic)
i have tried a couple of times.. so in the forums i saw reference to folks buying another app called pin puller.. i downloaded that and bought points for it. to find out that it apparently doesnt support 2023..
i've read that you want to be careful about trying too many times as you might brick your module.. also in my reading some folks have said that you cannot retrieve a pin for the newer ones..
so... i'm making this post.. i'm sure someone on here has been successful with this.. hoping i have what i need and i'm just doing it wrong..
thanks everyone!
