2025 Rebel Taillights

As a prospective buyer this is a significant disappointment. I really like the Rebel, and it fits my use case. But having DRLs and tailights that are incadescent just makes no sense in this day and age. Surely, I would trade heated rear seats for that as I use my rear seats 20% of the time.

Example of modern corporate cost cutting, they went from standard LED tail lights to Halogen on the Rebel. Typically, refreshes actually improves the equipment, but not everywhere.

Luckily, the pre-facelift tail lights look better anyways, no interest in "upgrading" to the newer tail light design, the front however I could be temped. Wouldn't be simply though, requiring new headlights, under headlight body colored trim and grill.

So the fogs are still led?
Well heading to check out a Rebel x mojave sand level 2 tomorrow, we’ll see if all the new tech makes up for the 20 year old exterior lighting

Following. Going to be a while before a vendor comes out with taillights. Next best thing is LED bulb replacement.

View attachment 190484My Rebel with level 2 group shows animated lights. 🤷‍♂️
Following. My Laramie also has this on the sticker and the dealership is trying to work with the mothership on installing them or a refund as I and others have obviously paid for the upgraded lights. I will keep you all posted on progress.

I was told it was "It was just an error on the window sticker" and that the animated are only limited and longhorn. Harness isn't compatible.

I called out that it's part of a paid for equipment group, doesn't seem to matter. No resolution offered.

As an FYI this also applies to a Laramie with Level 2 package (w9thout night package). I ordered a Laramie with Level 2 on 12/18 and the dealers package description as well as the build site both listed rear and front light animation as an included feature as well as proximity approach lights. Looking again today the animation feature is no longer listed on the build site and when I add the packages to the truck ai built they lose the proximity lights based on my configuration. It is al very confusing and hard to keep track of. Will be interesting to see what my build sheet says. I agree the switch to Incandescent is a bummer and I am also disappointed they are no linger amber turn signals in the rear either. That said I am still excited for the 2025 as I am getting heated and recline rear seats, factory fender flares and a bunch of other upgrades over my 23 Laramie with Level B.

I'd be disappointed too. I guess in the end you never see your tail lights when you're driving anyway. Have fun with your new Laramie!

I installed LED bulbs for all non-LED lights, Lasfit Combo pack. they are bright.
Guess has to be Lasfit? I tried led bulb so called error free CANbus but only brake lights work and rear lights are going off and not coming back on

This has been a super helpful thread. Thanks to all who have posted. Recent Rebel purchase--just traded in a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. The 2025 Rebel def feels more sporty, and is a bit shorter--what I was looking to do. Ordering an LED light package from Lasfit! They happen to be running a 15% off sitewide coupon. Thanks again!!

15% OFF Everything

Not in my truck, the bulbs are not holding in the sockets, falling straight out of it. Do you have a part#?

I'm waiting on mine to arrive but I ordered these

I cannot for the life of me understand why they downgraded the lights on the Laramie. Has anyone tried communicating to Ram that a $70k should not come with incandescent bulbs in 2025!!?? It feels like we’re going backwards. On top of that, making it harder for aftermarket vendors to come up with alternatives? It’s literally self-sabotage 🤯.

It was bound to happen. So many people complaining about truck prices, now manufacturers are starting to cut content and quality to lower the costs. I do agree we should be getting all LED's bighorn and up, even my 2014 4th gen sport had LED tail lights.
