Build date is typically on the driver side door jamb -- not on build sheet

Well looks like I was prepared and took a pic of the door jamb labels! The manufacture date was 6-24

That’s still not technically the build date. Your truck rolled off the assembly line on the third month of the year, 12th day of the month, 14th hour of the day.

Thanks for clarifying. So what is the "DATE OF MFR (BUILT)" referring to? To compare, my trade in (the truck I have now) tag is attached.

So, on truck 1, is it normal for the month MFR (BUILT) [6 - 24] to be that different than the MDH [031214]?

Truck 2's MFR and MDH months match up... [5 - 24] and [050210]...

It’s strange because they have month hour date and then a different build date on the top of the sticker

Yeah, I’m not 100% positive. I only know this because when I was shopping for my wife’s GC last year, we found two we liked.
Identical in every way… line by line, package by package.
But the one she went with was the color she wanted, midnight blue. The identical black GC was built 3-4 months after hers..and if I recall, it was like 1800 or 2K more, due to mid model year price adjustments.
Hers was built in April, the other was July.
I remember the dealer showing us the date code at bottom.

I could be wrong, dealer could be full of it…lol. But it all lines up and makes sense to me based on the stickers I saw and pricing associated.

Learned something new today.

My window sticker = 0516-0
My door jam sticker = 051421

So my actual build date is Friday, May 14, 2021 at 9pm?

Just bought a 2025 rebel , I wonder if this truck has the same bolts for brakes? I imagine they all do no? I wouldn't think something like that would be vehicle specific or trim specific! Idk but Imma definitely keep an eye on it and speak to my dealer about this! So which one is the build date that counts ?

The MDH number is the official day it rolled off the assembly line, then the following weekday morning is when the equipment listing is live (although that feature is disabled for this model year). The truck entered the assembly line about 8-16 hours before the MDH number.
I’m not sure what the other date on the door sticker, or the SL number on the window sticker alludes to.

But, even knowing the build dates for all of the brake failure trucks means nothing to us, as we’re missing tons of other information about the parts used to build those trucks, even if it’s the same part number.
Their first step is to pull the part from sale for replacement (which they have done, it’s scrubbed from the parts catalogs), then figure out if they are all defective, or narrow it down to manufacturer dates, batches, lot numbers, etc.

I am not sure what the build date was, but I purchased new off the lot in August. From what I gathered by talking with the dealership and pulling teeth working with Stellantis, the 2025 Limited has the same part number. I considered upgrading when I did the trade in, but when they told me it was the same part number as the one that failed, so I decided not to go that route. So, it's likely that the big horn has it too...

Unfortunately, I’m in the same spot and it’s the same part that was replaced on yours. I also found out that part was recently redesigned by Ram.

Stellantis/FCA has been terrible to deal with. They are doing everything they can to expedite the parts to the dealer to get the truck back within 30 days so I can’t lemon it. It’s the opposite of what I want because I don’t want the truck back after a major brake failure. Luckily for me it happened in a parking lot, but I don’t want to be going 80mph on a highway the next time this happens…

Dealer has offered to swap me out to another truck and I’m curious to know how I figure out what other trucks have that same part. Am I better off taking my truck back after it’s been replaced, or roll the dice on getting into a different one and having the same failure? Anyone have this failure and have feedback after this part’s been replaced?

Been a GM guy forever and feel like I made a huge mistake…
