2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

This is from the Pennzoil website:

Note the 0W-40 calls out Chrysler "MS-A0921 (SRT)". As far as I can find, this is the only mention of SRT on the Pennzoil website. This is THE oil made by Pennzoil that meets Mopar specs for the Hurricane.

From the 2025 Ram 1500 Manual:

Luck finally ran out and took a rock to the windshield cracking it, Hopefully the OEM windshields are available. And then their is the fact I have to get it re tinted.

Hate that. Luckily, glass coverage is free here. I usually go to safelight after ordering Mopar glass. I’ve also used the dealer. But I haven’t needed to use it on my 25 yet…

Sucks man i also have big crack and hole next to light on grill things are less durable today they want stuff to break.

yes just so you can come back and give them more money.
I don’t think it’s a money grab like that.
I think stuff is just made cheaper or thinner for weight reduction.

I order 0 40 srt pennzoil and mobil one 20000 mile oil filter 212a . When i change my oil at 5000 mile it still looks new crazy. Hemi would destroy oil by 3000 miles.

I originally responded to this which specifically says "srt pennzoil".

So far as I know, Penzoil doesn’t make SRT anymore, which is why @Ramboy13 posted P.U.P. as the oil he’s using 🤷🏻‍♂️

its sp don't know where your looking

Also, this is from a robot:

Pennzoil did not specifically “rebrand” SRT engine oil, but it has developed and marketed a specialized product: Pennzoil Ultra or Ultra Platinum 0W-40, often labeled for SRT engines, in partnership with Chrysler (now Stellantis). This formulation—originally introduced in 2012 and ongoing—is the Chrysler-recommended oil for SRT vehicles, meeting and exceeding their specific MS-12633 specification.
In some cases, you might see updated packaging or “SRT” referenced more prominently, but the product itself (Pennzoil Ultra/Ultra Platinum 0W-40) remains the Chrysler-specified oil for modern SRT engines. The “reimagined” or “rebranded” aspect is largely in the product’s marketing and labeling, not a radical reformulation or replacement.
If you see Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-40 or see “SRT” on the bottle, it’s still the correct oil recommended for SRT vehicles as per Chrysler’s current (2025) specification”

There is no oil branded SRT

Here is Pennzoil SRT oil. It even says "Ultra Platinum". It is API-SN (look at the pictures).

They make not make it anymore, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And it doesn't mean that, if you use it, it won't void your warranty (if they find out - for example, by looking at your receipts).

Fun fact, I just checked a jug of Wal-mart's Supertech full synthetic 0w20 . . . and it has the API SP rating.

I have been running the JB4 Tuner since March in my Tungsten and like it very much. You can really feel the difference. It had zero impact on my MPG. I might be wrong, but from what I can tell it tricks the engine into increasing the boost from the turbo's so during normal driving you are not in a boosted condition - hence no change in MPG's. It only seems to change things once you are running it wide open.
Just got the jb4 put on my Limited -- wow what a difference in power and throttle response. There's almost zero turbo lag now -- just instant power. Where do you live? I'm in GA and have 93 octane so I'm running 93 octane and I'm shocked at the performance increase!

I am in Mass. and we also have 93 octane. I tried running both the 91 and the 93 tunes and they really make a difference like you mentioned. Currently i am running the 91 tune until I get a few more miles on the truck.

Can you make the SO feel like the HO? Does anyone know?
