2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Purchased my 4th RAM on 6/28/25.

2025 RAM 1500 Rebel. Level 2.

After many trips to the GMC dealership for warranty repairs, it was time to trade in my 2022 Refresh GMC Sierra 1500 “forever truck” (pictured) and got back into a RAM. I feel like the RAM Gods punished me for trading in my 2019 1500 Laramie lol.

First thoughts, I love the upgrade RAM did with the Rebel. The refreshed front end and new style wheels made me pull the trigger for my purchase. I put the Rebel in the same class as the GMC AT4, Chevy Trail Boss and Ford Tremor. However, with the Rebel, you get more bells and whistles for the money.

I enjoy the Hurricane motor. It’s powerful and has little to zero turbo lag. The only downside is how quiet it is (expected). I’m currently exploring a good exhaust system to fix that.

The only thing I dislike about the truck are the upper control arms. I believe they’re made out of plastic. And it only having an 8 speed transmission. Other than that, the truck is solid. But I only owned it for 5 days, so that can change.

Future upgrades that I have in mind will be an exhaust, cold air intake, level the front 2” with Bilstein 5100s, put on 35” tires while keeping the stock wheels and tint the front windows. So nothing crazy.

replace key fob battery my one fob approach lights work every time other one needs new battery already

Anyone get a creaking/groaning chirp type sound when they apply the brakes. I work on an AF Base, so I have my windows down approaching the gate guards...so that is probably the only reason I hear it. But when I press on the brakes I hear a corresponding noise like I described above. Brakes seem fine....had someone look at them...they look clean and the rotors look brand new...they better the damn truck is new!! When I go over bumps, etc...no sound...so I have no idea. I feel safe, so that is good....just an annoyance. Going to try and get my wife to video it in a parking lot or something so I can show the dealer. (taking it in next week to have them diagnose) Sounds are very difficult to pinpoint...so my guess is they will have no clue.

Great to have your Ram back. The German 8 speed ZF transmission is the best out there!

Started working on the bed to prepare it for Bedrug and noticed paint oddities. When running fingers down the "bubbles," I don't see any substantial surface movement. These bubbles aren't soft but aren't 100% hard either. What say you?

Thank you!

Don't bother taking it in. It's the new hydraulic brake system in the 1500s. It's also in the Grand Cherokees and Wagoneers. It's supposed to have quicker braking response, but it comes with the noise unfortunately.
