Here we go.

2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the 3.6 V6 Etorque. Did a 1500 mile road trip - no issues. A few days later, remote started my truck and it died. Started it up and it seemed "delayed" and threw a CEL. Immediately had it scanned and it showed "Random/Multiple Misfire." Cleared the code and it came back a day or 2 later.

Started it the other day cold and CEL began flashing and truck was stumbling at idle. After warm, it drives normally.

I'm 1500 miles from home on vacation in a rural area, so taking it to a dealer isn't really an option.

Just hoping it'll make it back home 1500 miles in a few days.

I got my truck back Friday. They replaced the fuel pump and so far (probably jinxing myself) all is well. Hopefully the Star Case is available for all dealerships and this is the fix for everyone and not a bunch of gremlins plaguing these new trucks.

It's funny how this misfire program has invaded the pentastar 3.6 now. What's going on Stelantis
Well I think this all but proves that this is most likely a software issue and not an actual problem with the 3.0 engine.

Hopefully the misfire thing gets resolved and this is the first I’ve read affecting the 3.6L V6. Those have been used quite a few years already in the 1500. Although not in a Ram, we’ve own/owned 4 Grand Cherokees with the V6 and it’s been very reliable.

I stopped by the dealership yesterday. The "expert" from Detroit supposedly flew down last week and took whatever info he could gather back with him. They're speculating software issues as most of you have. In the meantime lots of speculation and wondering how long this is going to take??? I told the service manager I don't even want it back at this point. I'm currently looking for a legit lemon law lawyer in FL.

I wish you nothing but luck. The quicker you act the better. Once the process has started the manufacturer has a chance to fix it(if I recall FL law correctly). I would wonder if they could produce a software quickly for a lemon case.

Well guys. My 25 Hurricane powered Big Horn barely passed 1k miles and a month of ownership before this misfire issue reared its ugly head. Goes in Friday after popping a CEL for the 2nd time in a week. Misfire is noticeable on cold starts, every time. Hot starts it isn’t noticeable and hasn’t effected normal operation (yet). I’m documenting as well as I can starting with this initial visit. Shame if it comes to going the lemon route as I really enjoyed the whole month I got 🙄.

Makes me wonder if it's a software issue. A lot of people seem to be mentioning issues only after driving a certain number of miles, wouldn't think software if that was the case.

Maybe could be the too short wiring harness that's been mentioned before on Mopar insider videos. Drive enough miles and the connectors start to separate.

Another thing, what are the models that seem to be affected?
SO Hurricane equipped 2025 1500's. For my case I noticed a significant stutter during cold start, high idle. Wrote it off at first, around 500 miles, after 700 total miles the first CEL popped up. Took to dealer to confirm my misfire suspicion, I was correct and we cleared the code to see if it'd come back. Short story long, it came back 3 days later. After approximately 5 total starts with no stop/start active. This Friday mine will go into the dealer and that's what caused me to do a little searching and find this thread. I have little faith in the service dept at my dealer given past experience so my issue will likely get run up the chain (very much not looking forward to that).

New member here. Just took delivery of my 2025 Laramie with Hurricane S.O couple of days back with 22 miles on the odo. Haven't driven the truck much yet, under 100 miles still. My first full size pickup and love it so far for its ultra-quiet cabin, plush ride and smooth powertrain. I have a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer which I'll be pulling almost every weekend. Waiting to complete the break-in procedure (manual says to take it easy until 300 miles) before towing. Little worried reading other member experiences here. Will be monitoring this thread and my truck closely! 🤞

from the people responding here it seems like all models. Haven’t heard anyone post about a limited but not many are in the wild. But it also doesn’t seem like it’s engine exclusive both the 3.0 SO and 3.6 are affected so I’d assume that the 3.0 HO would also be affected.
