2025 Quality

I think some of the sales slumber is the public basically saying enough of the corporate inflation and holding their dollars close to the vest so to speak until these company's have to come back to reality. most people cant even afford a good used car let alone a 50,000 plus on the low end new pickup. sales are falling in all sectors and i think the public has just had enough.

RAM kept the DT 1500 essentially unchanged for 6 years and only raised prices. Drop in sales was inevitable to fresher designs.
Not only did they raise prices, but they removed features like the wood grain steering wheel from 2023, and the spray in bedliner as a standard option on an Limited so they double dipped.
Pay more for less, not even just pay more for same.
When people say I wish I had a 2022 in the year 2024 that's a problem lol.

UAW needs to take a step back and reevaluate their purpose. Stop trying to justify pay increases and increased benefits, far above most other industries, based only on one or two years of sales numbers. You never seem them renegotiating for less pay when profits slump. This is one industry where the unions only cause more issues then they help.

As for quality issues, I don't know why a company would purposely sabotage one of their best selling vehicles over a squabble with the union. That's like chopping off a finger to stick it to the guy who makes your gloves.

I wonder if he was reviewing a pre production model.

He was. He updated the video in the description and in the comments a few days ago to say Ram reached out to him and confirmed it was pre-production. They also apparently took the truck back to re-evaluate the issues based on his review.

Stellantis is a garbage company. I'm happy with my Ram (2022), my 7th one I've owned. But I won't own another, not as long as Stellantis is involved. Like Darksteel mentioned, the price went up but you also got less. No fender flares on the Laramies, making Halogen headlights an option for Laramie's. Why? A stupid shell game.

I'm keeping my faith for the 2025 RAM until I see otherwise. If they don't come out with the upper trims after the shutdown then it's going to be a different truck. Can only wait so long for something they promoted months ago. I think prices on the dealer side will continue to be quite competitive.

I've often wondered how closely the marketing department watches these forums.

I doubt they look at these forums super closely, but they monitor media outlets with strong followings on Youtube all the time. That's how these folks get invited to press drives in the first place.

To be fair they brought the fender flares back for 2025 and now they are actually standard on the Big Horn as well which never had them before.

I couldn't care less about the stock painted fender flares. The front lower section of the rear flares just get the crap beat out of them from gravel. The ppf they put on at the factory is useless. I'd rather not have them or go with aftermarket non-painted flares.

I'm just quoting this post because it has so many truths and is worth the 15 second read.

I don't like non painted plastic flares, any black plastic looks cheap and gets faded from the sun.

Stellantis shareholders on Tuesday approved a controversial 36.5-million-euro ($38.75 million) pay package for chief executive Carlos Tavares. Tavares defended the 2023 payout, a 56 percent jump from 2022, ahead of the vote approved by 70 percent of shareholders :unsure:

It's all the " union " :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I didn't say it was all the union. Obviously you are either a union guy, or totally missed the point of my comment.

I will bet you closer than you think, I made a snod comment on a ram advertisement last week on facebook and got an email from Ram cares about it within 24 hrs.

The trucks look way cleaner/sleek/better without the flares. This isn't the 90's anymore like pontiac and all that completely butt ugly molded plastic everywhere.

Not sure about the lights but I was under the impression that even the tradesman were getting LEDs now.

The Limited and Tungsten have the Bi-function LED projector headlights. Below that they have LED reflectors. One poster somewhere stated that the LED Projectors alone was worth the price of going with the Limited as they were that much better picking out wildlife on the roads he drove. It is not unusual to not get the best lighting on lower trims with other vehicles. I've always thought since it is a safety issues then it's rather criminal not to at least offer the best lighting on the all trim levels.
