I recently purchased a 2024 Ram Limited Longhorn and cannot tell if the dash is leather or pleather/vinyl. Does anyone know what it is? I want to make sure I use the correct cleaning products on it.

Sorry the close up pictures are at night

A tiny bit off topic here, or maybe not, anyways i've noticed something interesting with the leather or pleather being used by Ram to make our dashboards.
My truck ('21 Rebel) and my dads truck ('20 3500 Limited), both have smooth leather finishes for the dash. But I've noticed a few guys, Waterfowler 41 being one of them, have textured leather for their dash.
I wonder if Ram has been switching up their materials depending on whats available.

The Rebel dash is not leather. It's the same rubberized plastic that is in the Laramie.

It's actually pretty easy to determine whether the panels are leather or vinyl. This guy does a good job explaining the differences. That said, the only part of the TRX seats that isn't real leather is the outboard section of the bolsters on the front seats.

The picture looks like vinyl to me, so that makes sense.
Reminds me of my old Dodge Ram Van's vinyl seats. I think it was a 1995.

I’m going with pleather. On the TRX, I’ve come to find out that the only real leather is in the perforated sections of the vented seats. Everything else is fake. Including the seat bolsters.
If you look at your perforated seats and compare the grain and feel to your bolsters and dash, I think you’ll be able to tell pretty quickly which is which.

Using the method in the video I provided, I'm confident that the only pleather in the TRX is the outboard seat bottom bolsters on all of the seats. Everything else appears to be leather.

TRX has the same basic seating as the Laramie, just tuned up colors like the Rebel.

Not true. The Laramie seats are mostly pleather.

That ragged out seat is probably from sliding out of it onto the ground like your kids playground equipment. Gotta try to resist doing that !

Found a picture from the TRX forum where a guy had his dash replaced under warranty. He said the new dash has grain, and is not like the smooth leather that was previously installed.
