2022 Orders

And given that the first ~200 VINs were pilot trucks (pre-production test models), you actually have one of the very first "ordered" trucks.

But keep in mind that they will not be building sequentially. They tend to batch the trucks by color/trim/etc. For example, I've seen days where they made 70 black TRX's and no other colors of that trim. And on the next day, it will be mostly Hydro Blue TRX's.
Gotcha, well, with the new news you just posted, and since mine is a basic color, fingers crossed!

Good questions. I assume he meant, "no two-tones" and/or "no low-volume colors".

I don't understand how they're producing 2022's but still haven't updated the build & price on the website...
Well, it's pretty simple. Here's how they envision the process working.
  • Build a truck on the website, using the 2021 information
  • Take it to a dealer, and let them tell you all the things that you can't get now
  • Then let them tell you how the pricing is all different now
  • Then let them tell you about the new options you can't find (like the Back Country, 10th Anniversary Limited, GT package, etc)
  • Then let them take your deposit, based on an opinion that "It will probably get built like you asked for"
  • Then you worry day and night for 4-6 months, wondering if you even have a truck coming

The website is pretty much irrelevant. It is just a sales tool and things change so fast that it is just a negative for them to have people depend on it for other than general information and complain when things change or not be correct relative to their purchase. Your POC (sort of), your build sheet, and the window sticker are the only things that relate to your purchase and the actual truck you receive. Your dealer quote should relate to the price, but, for some it doesn't protect against price increases.

I thought the same thing. But now I think it’s because until 2022 hit the showrooms, they can’t a lot the inventory to it.

I am not as sophisticated, I just bookmarked the url with my VIN and hit it every now and again lol

Just want to put this out there, is anyone else hearing that there are still restrictions on certain packages. My dealer is telling me that on the Limiteds there is still a restriction on the night edition. Canadian dealership.
