2022 1500 sport 2" rear drop with timbren bumpstops

Just a reveiw on the maxtracs 2" lowering springs for my 2022 1500 sport crew cab. The ride is pretty close to stock and install took about an hour. The only problem i see is when i go over medium size bumps on the road it will hit the bumpstops . I'm looking at buying tibren bumpstops to help with towing and it should help bottoming out so hard . I just have to take measurements between my bumpstops and axle, then they can make me a custom set . Has anyone used this kit or similar brand, I believe sumo makes a kit as well.

what part number was used for springs? I have been reading a lot of threads on the 2" lowering springs and not many people are talking/complaining about bottoming out.
 
I never bottomed out even when carrying two motorcycles in the bed of the truck.

with just the 2in springs its a non issue, no need for the timbrens
 
Can’t remember. What ever they said fit my truck from the maxtrac website.

Looks like the website I ordered off of has the wrong description on the part number 272720. There's a screen shot from where I bought them and then from maxtracs. I guess I got the 2wd coils on my 4wd . Do you guys know if there's a difference in spring rate and length ? Nothing seemed wrong during installation.

The 2wd/4wd is the never version if I remember correctly.

from everything I have been reading on this subject over the past week, part 272720 will lower more than 272920. which may explain why you are bottoming out and why people with 272920 are not.

New developments! Supposedly 272720 and 272920 is the same coil , they just made another part number so they could separate the years of truck I guess... its in the screen shot .

My truck has 3/8"s difference(fronts higher), but my truck only has 2000kms on it . I'm willing to bet once I get 20,000kms it will come down and be level.
 
Sorry. Half inch. Mine has 5k miles since install. Hasn’t moved.

I have a sport crew cab, mine is 3/8s lowerer in the rear . Did your front end settle down once you put more miles on it ?
 
Weird. Same truck as me.

And I did the rear springs the day after I brought it home from the dealer. So I couldn’t tell ya.

Watch the vid on etrailer for the difference between timbrens and sumosprings. Timbrens are harder, for frequent heavy loads while sumo’s smoosh a little more but ride nicer. Sumo’s are recommended for cutting/customizing, timbrens are not.
 
All this talk about part numbers and wondering whats happening, but has anyone thought to call Maxtrac? I had two great conversations with the head guy there before I bought the lowering springs.

I messaged them in a live chat and attached the conversation in a screen shot in my earlier post ... both part number are the same spring, That's what the sales associate told me .
