I did not see a HOW TO anywhere for the media hub replacement. Keeping the story short. I bought a 2021 Ram 1500 last week. I found these forums. I have been trolling. I found how to fix it. Ordered the new part number from Mopar Parts. Replaced it. Now I have CarPlay. New part number superseeds other part numbers. Hopefully the transistors have been fixed.

And.... Here we GO!

Pull the radio out towards you. You wont break it. (Great clips Mopar!)

And by bench, I mean cooler, because its on the bench. :)

Reverse order to reinstall.

Note: The 4 screws that are deep.... I used electrical tape and secured the screw to the end of the screwdriver. I struggled with that depth long enough. I had a magnetic screwdriver. They just kept falling off.

Nice write up. Do you have the 3 person front seat?

Follow this vid for removal

When I removed it just the back piece came out, so I reused the face plate from the old one

I followed this 2019-2022 Ram 2500 3500 How to Remove Center Console YouTube video and replaced the USB media hub (Media Hub USB Port, Center Console - Mopar (68397098AE)) and now all is working perfectly.

Note it was a little difficult getting the old hub completely removed from the console like forum poster THEBLET mentioned and showed in their pics . I did the same as they did and reused the face plate but all in all it took about an hour to get everything taken apart, replaced, tested and put back.

Special thanks THEBLET to also to everyone in this thread.
