Nope (even though they seem bright to me). And in tests, the Ram design was shown to produce less glare than the competition. Bright is fine if it’s well-focused.Does anyone else get flashed by on coming cars sometimes with just the regular low beams on? I think the lights are so bright on the Limiteds that they think your high beams are on. Doesn't happen a lot but it happens to me every once in a while. I would flash them back but don't want to burn their retinas out with the high beams!
They are insanely bright. I though my Jeep SRT had good lights. These blow them out of the water. You guys make me want to take my truck out tonight after dark! I've only had it 4.5 months and I don't think I've ever driven it at night, so I have no idea how bright the headlights are.

I did my research, too. See my response from another thread. The 2019 adaptive LEDs outperformed the revised version in every area but one, and the revision only helped oncoming drivers. See my response from an earlier thread: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/others-flashing-brights-at-me.2982/page-2#post-189184Regardless of competition the 2019 adaptive LEDs had the worst rating out of the 2019 RAM lineup and was the biggest failure in testing. The 2020 adaptive LEDs were redesigned to directly address the glare issue cited.
Ram has revised the adaptive LED headlights to meet performance requirements for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ award.
"And then there are the headlights. The base halogen reflector headlights received the second-lowest rating of Marginal due to inadequate coverage on curves. The LED reflector headlights on higher trims were also rated Marginal based on inadequate curve coverage and low-beam glare. The LED projector headlights on the most expensive trims fared even worse, receiving a Poor rating for creating excessive glare. Had any set of headlights on the 2019 Ram 1500 been rated Acceptable, the Ram 1500 would have been eligible for the IIHS' Top Safety Pick accolade. Had those headlights received a Good rating, the truck would have received the highest honor, Top Safety Pick+. Currently only one large pickup -- the 2018-2019 Honda Ridgeline -- has a Top Safety Pick designation.

Here is the exact text of my response that my link provided above jumps to (which was followed by a response from Neurobit, incidentally, not you):Didn't mean to "questions your research' although I'm confused. The post you replied to (which I then replied to your in succession) was asking about getting flashed. Your response aside from no you do not get flashes is that they outperform competition. You are talking about performance from driver perspective not sure how that relates at all. What I posted was specific to glare to other drives and to that it was clearly deemed an issue and helps explain being flashed. The 2019's in question received Excessive Glare rating. MAny other trucks received Poor overall ratings and agree performed poorer than RAM however I didn't find any of them to now Excessive glare. They were 'Some Glare' or 'No Glare' and failed for other reasons.
To TimFlex, no shock on being flashed. IIHS noted Excessive Glare for your headlights.
That's interesting. It would be interesting to look at a truck with the original headlights vs the modified lights to see which light up the road better. They actually put a slight bend in the light path of the driver side lens to allow for less glare for oncoming traffic.

According to IIHS, the originals light up the road better, but produce more glare too (around left curves). That's interesting. It would be interesting to look at a truck with the original headlights vs the modified lights to see which light up the road better.
I just got my 2020 Laramie 3500 and I dont have these lights like I did on my 2500. So upset. My 2020 Laramie Longhorn lights are great. I usually keep fog lights on and the road and sides of the road are very well lit. They move into the turns also which is a nice feature.

Waiting for my newly ordered 2020 Laramie Longhorn, Delmonico Red, chrome bumpers, 20” wheels, 5.7 V8 Hemi MDS VVT eTorque, 3.92 rear, all options except diesel, multifunction tailgate, protection group and trailer tow group. Interior Black/New Saddle. Looking forward to delivery. Truck arrived!!! Yes!
Can’t understand why this would not be available on the 3500s. FCA makes some head-scratching decisions sometimes, don’t they?I just got my 2020 Laramie 3500 and I dont have these lights like I did on my 2500. So upset.
From what I'm hearing from other customers, the directional headlights that I had on my 2019 2500 Laramie are only available on the 2020 longhorn and limited. Just like the panoramic sunroof we couldn't get because it's only available on the 1500.Can’t understand why this would not be available on the 3500s. Just another way for them to force you into a higher trim level for that one feature you want, but make you pay for a whole slew of features you don't want to get them. I wanted the advanced safety group on my Laramie mainly for the speed sensitive cruise control, but I did not want the level 2 equipment group, but you can't get the advanced safety group at 1700 dollars without first spending 4900 dollars to get level 2 equipment. Can’t understand why this would not be available on the 3500s.
