Anyone else having issues with your vented seats? Can barely feel anything at Hi setting and can’t feel anything at medium and low....you can definitely hear the fan blowing, but not much air venting out.....

Sorry to here this. That's too bad. My seats are really cold on high here in hot Houston. Be sure that nothing is stored under the seat, if this is not the issue I would bring it to the Dealer to check for loose connections or some other issue.

Your dealer should help but they pull air through the seat not blow it out at you, at least my 19 Laramie does. Mine work quite well but they are moving air not cooling it unless the Limited works different.

I apologize for the trouble, @Diddy Sanchez. If you address this with your dealer, please be sure to let us know via PM. We would be more than happy to escalate a case on your behalf so that you have the support of a specialist for your dealer visit.

My limited is the same. High works relatively well but medium and low are just as good as off.

I run mine almost exclusively on Lo (Longhorn). Anything higher gets a little drafty ;)

Mine sound like a jet engine spoiling up, but also don’t feel much happening, even on HI. I guess I don’t know what to expect, since this is my first vehicle with vented seats. I’m intrigued that some of you are turning them lower because they vent too much at HI.

Some people have claimed that after they clamped their heater hose their seats started feeling a lot cooler. May want to look into that hack and give it a try.

The mistake I made initially was when I read "vented" my mind thoght "AC". Which is obviously not the case. But on a balmy day when I'm in shorts; it does the trick. On a balmy day in pants; much, less so. But again "vented" is the keyword and for me it beats nothing

First I’ve heard of this. Any chance you have a link?

I was told they fan draws air from the ac and pushes it through the seat. I live in az and last week when it was 115, as soon as I turn on truck and turn on seats it’s blowing cool. Also really only turn them on low. High lifts me off the seat I feel like.

This is my take on these seats. Our seats have two functions. "vented" and "heated/vented". First the blue vented function. There is no active cooling for this function. I am thinking the ambient air is drawn thru the seat cushions in this mode. I can say that with the AC on and blowing, the air definitely feels cool. As opposed to having the seat vent on with the climate system off, the seat air is not as cool. Then there is the red heated/vented function. I am 99.9% sure there is an active heater coil or coils in the seat along with the vent blower, hence you can get seat heat with the climate system off or on.

Also this would explain the claim that with the AC hack, the seat cooling is more noticeable as the AC is blowing colder and the ambient temp is colder.

Thoughts?

he must be making a sick joke out of the whole ac hack thing.....think about it....it's just fan driven that pulls fresh air from cab. Freon involvement? I don't think so....

The ventilated seats draw air into the seat, they don't blow air out. Because of this, the A/C cannot affect the vented seats at all.

Use the search for "air conditioning hack". There are like 42 pages, so beware, lol. The comments about the cooled seats improving were in there somewhere. The thought is that because the cabin vents are blowing like 10° lower with the hack, the ambient air that the seat blower and pad pull in will make your seat feel cooler and more quick. Here is a good thread that explains in detail how the seats work:

I’ve already addressed this issue with the dealer and keep being told someone will call me back, which of course never happens. I previously had a 19 rebel that I should have looked into lemon laws on but was too impatient and traded it in for the 2020 limited when they offered 0% interest financing. I haven’t even been able to get the recalls taken care of. I was told to bring in the truck first thing in the morning and would be out fairly quickly, so I drove an hour to the dealership and was told they wouldn’t be able to service it. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with Landmark Dodge service in Atlanta, Ga, and Palmer dodge as well. If there is a dealership in Georgia you’d recommend, please let me know. But for a $72k truck, I’d really like it to fully function.

Well, there’s obviously some logic in thinking that colder air coming out of vents makes for colder occupants makes for “colder-feeling” seat ventilation, even though the system is performing no differently than before...much like turning your seat ventilation on in the middle of winter ;)

The seats on my Limited work great. I seldom had to put it on high.
