Turned my truck on TODAY, check engine light on..orielly is right down the road so I get a code read.
2 codes. Both cylinder one misfire.
I head to the dealer 10 mins away check engine light on the whole time. I get there speak to their boss, (NINO) he said nothing he can do. Untill monday, till service center opens. I can leave it there but I get no loaner car. So I ask what he can do and he said nothing.(Don Davis dealership in lake jackson, texas) I told him it's a brand new truck I'm upset af... he stated if i undo battery might reset code. I get home undo battery for about 15min. Crank the truck. Engine light is off. BUT! a/c states no temp, ventetialed seats are no and option on my screen, heated seats are not an option, and rear view camera is notworking in reverse or not an option. Some of the apps are missing too. I'm pissed off. Brand new truck I should not be having these issues, it's bs. I call I connect ram assist. They can't do nothing and say take it to service center at dealer. Now I gotta take my TIME during holidays to get this fixed. Wtff

It should all come back. It takes time for the screen to change to your options. Just let it sit or just drive it. I’ve reset my battery several times. It never has all,the options and screen til I drive it for a bit.

Did you happen to do anything near cylinder one. Check the plug wires near it. It is very unfortunate that you have this already. A misfire on a new engine shouldn't happen. But it is possible it has a bad wire or spark plug. Even just a nick in the wire could do it.

Hope the dealer can get it taken care of very soon.

I can understand the frustration but things break or go bad.I know it's an inconvenience but stuff happens.i however do believe that your dealership could have been more helpful.

Does it run bad? Could be fuel related, did you fill up recently? I unhooked my battery to reset my stereo.

Truck runs good. Feels some stall/jump in reverse but idk .. I fueled up a full tank and did a long trip I'm at 1/4 left. When the light came on.
When I reset it it went away but has come back again

Hi Dontfront82,
I completely understand your frustration, considering that this is a new truck. Were you able to bring your truck to your dealer yet? If so, how did the appointment go? Feel free to send us a private message if you are still seeing the check engine light and we would be happy to look into this further for you.

Same thing happened to me! I had a loose coil pack on 2, and a bad pack on 4! I think the crew responsible for installing the coil packs have a drinking problem

Did yours get replaced same the same time or after an other? Man I hope this doesn't happen again. Scary thought after buying something new and crapping out so fast

Unfortunately, the loose coil caused the first misfire; then a couple of weeks later number 4 failed. Good news is no coil pack problems since!
