12 inch Uconnect update????

So I just got told I will need to pay for an update the dealership never did. My truck is outside of 3/36. My current software is 18.27.17 with my EQ 3.4. Always serviced at a Ram dealership. Now I get to pay for the update. WTF. Just got off the phone with Uconnect and they said the dealership has a right to charge since it is out of warranty. Guess I'm sticking with old software.

Like I mentioned in your other thread, this is terrible service. @RamCares should be able to help and you should shame the dealership by putting their info here.

Its AutoNation in Valencia. Currently being worked into another dealership in Ventura. I've also learned customer service varies from dealership to dealership and service rep to service rep.

Just got call back from dealership in regard to the update that resolves offline issue abd the update is supposed to roll out 2/2021.

Well, it appears the update was over the air and I now have the ability to "search and go" via voice command.
I was also told there is a new update for my truck that the dealership loaded onto a drive for me. Unfortunately, the truck did not see any files on the drive. From what Ive read they put too much crap on the drive and not just the 2 files that i needed and this causes the truck to read "media files found" the dealership said You need a new radio unit.
I'll pass for now and enjoy the online search function Ive been missing for too long.
