12” radio help

Buying a 12” radio with module from a junk yard what else will I need to swap my 8.4 radio? New to this forum thanks in advance

Nothing if you have 8.4 NAV.
If you have Non-Nav you'll need LVDS cable.
if needed:

I thought you were asking about hardware, And you basically has everything you need, That's why i said nothing lol. It definitely needs a little more than that.
You will need to Repin a connector, Get the radio code and program the BCM to the new module.
Not as hard as you think, you just need to know what you're doing.
Follow this tread for all the info you need:

I am upgrading from 8.4 non nav to the 12. I got everything installed and the volume and tune knobs do not work as expected. The problem I have is once I shut off the truck and the screen goes off it will not turn on the next time I start the truck. The radio still plays and the SWC can adjust...

Serial number.
You can also get the code by the vin from the dealership.

Bro I got one n is costly about $400 more. You have to match vin number to the redio about $250 at dealer. Then buy a programmer to bypass module $100,wirreherness $260. If I would of known what I know now

Anyone have a part number for the UAX radio module? Mine is dead. The stealer says if I was the 1st owner I'd be getting a new one free. I need to find a used one.

Just get the same part number of your dead UAX module.
