I went with the 48" OPT7 amber, I haven't installed it yet as I am trying to figure out what to do around the camera connection. Has anyone else had an issue with the unplugging of the connections for the camera and lock mechanism to completely remove the tailgate (not MFT)?

So does the 4 pin adapter in the bumper just pull out the back and you plug the Curt into that and back in the bumper? And you still need to connect spare wire for the backup lights correct?

No Ram boxes or MFT, but I was debating the MX4 and the Xtang Xceed. Something to think about is they may offer a veterans discount.

Couldn't you use a toner to check for hot wires?

I think I am going to plug my apple into it to check if it connects data and will update you after. The arm rest USB is a dead plug, charging only.

Have you done it and can you upload a close up photo of the camera wiring and the ends, I am thinking maybe just the 48" would work better. But for sure need some additional back up lighting for backing into my driveway.

Will it work in the upper arm rest USB? Or does it have to be in the dash?
