I can kind of see what OP is trying to do. Personally I think my truck is old enough now to not worry about messing up my warranty anymore if I would end up wearing something out or what have you if I Whipple’d it. Compared to trading in (for a TRX?) and throwing more money at it for fenders...
I’ve been thinking… I added a bunch of crap to my ‘19 Laramie (bought new) - 2” lift, 34” 295 tires and 1.5” spacers around, Mopar Catback and Ramflow. I know I’d lose the Ramflow but what if:
I’d go berserk and have a Whipple SC installed? Would this outperform (for whatever that’s worth) the...
Having the truck 6 years in December. All I’ve had happen so far is a flat front tire (swapping it for the spare was a royal pain btw). Only 68k on it, but still the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever had.
My eyes are probably deceiving me, but while pretty, the front of the Tungsten looks like there’s not much ground clearance and it looks a bit vulnerable.
Has anyone actually noticed a difference in gas consumption between 4WD-auto and 2WD? I can’t tell a difference, but admit I haven’t turned it into a science project either. Just going by what the display shows for current consumption on cruise control and switching forth and back between...
Mine is only a 2” lift and another inch due to 34” tires. The truck fits in my garage but not by much. That said, I found out that it doesn’t much of a snow drift against the garage door to make the antenna rub.
6K miles now. Dealer re-checked torque today during tire rotation, no charge :).
One thing I’ve noticed, is that you can see the snow and slush getting flung forward outside the wheel wells.
Was at the dealership for service today. Inspection sheet was marked “yellow” for the air filter. Seems a bit soon. Is the Airflow supposed to be cleaned or replaced when dirty?
That is more or less what I meant by my earlier post.
On ice and in slushy snow I usually take off in 4-H.
Does it make sense to go back to 4-auto when in motion or can I just leave it in 4-H till the next turn or stop?
Is there a delay between the truck noticing spin and kicking into 4WD when in 4-auto? Should I feel a difference taking off on ice and “flooring it” in 4-auto vs 4-high?
I got the 7 yr unlimited miles in 12/18. My commute is/was 100 mls a day but then the COVID forced me to work remote and now there’s other circumstances that have me working from home. So far it looks like in 2 months I’ll have averaged 12k/yr. No issues whatsoever.
To be honest, I don’t know.
Thanks this board, I just knew enough to ask a few questions and find out the dealer didn’t use locktite and to retorque at 500 mls.
So when I came in for retorque, someone took a torque wrench and started to torque the wheels. I’m like nope, could have done that...
