The hiss only lasts maybe 1-2 seconds at most and comes from the vacuum pump and not the brake booster (climbed in the engine bay while my gf hit the brakes). I must have never noticed it in the last three years of owning the truck.
Jumping on this thread because I have a question regarding this vacuum pump.
When i push and release the brake pedal it sounds like the vacuum pump either bleeds off extra vacuum or has a leak. Is it normal for this vacuum pump to make a noise after releasing the brake pedal. Have any of you...
I should add that I noticed this after being parked on an incline on two separate occasions. After the first time (40min) i cleaned the floor mat off and a little later parked on an incline again (20 min) and noticed a slightly smaller pool of fluid.
Brake fluid reservoir was up to the max line, maybe a hair under, so no noticeable loss there. Drove about 300 miles this weekend and didn't notice any difference in pedal feel. Was also pulling a trailer and braking performance felt normal.

How long have you had it? I've see some complaints about these covers failing in 2 months with the fleece liner leaving dust residue over the vehicle. Have you had experience with this?
Does anyone have good recommendations for a truck cover to protect my paint and rubber trims from the sun?
I recently got a company vehicle and my truck is going to be sitting in my driveway most of the week. Unfortunately, there isn't much shade at my house from 12-6PM so I'd like to cover it...
Went to drive my truck this morning and had the front left parking sensor alerting me that something was there. It wouldn't stop even when driving down the street. The only way it would stop is if I turned the front sensors off. I know I could leave them off to avoid the constant alert but I...
