I had the Medium Springs installed today. This definitely fixed my problem without overspringing the truck. Thanks for the push, Boogielander.
There is something a bit strange though. The Ironman springs say they'll provide 2 inches of lift, and I'm guessing that is for stock springs. I'm...
My 1500 has the ORP, 6'4" bed, the Retrax rolling bed cover w/Yakima bars, and 5100's all the way around. I also installed Timber Grove bags because I started to sag when towing or with a full load for the family. I'm now at 50k and going over speedbumps/large potholes at speed, I'm bottoming...
We went to our big Auto Show a few years back and my kids thought the coolest thing on any of the vehicles was the manual windows on a stripped down Jeep. They kept cranking them up and down... I didn't stop them.
If my RAM's tyranny or engine failed within 100k, you'll definitely hear me rant.
As I said, I like most things about the truck. But you're right, the next truck I purchase, I'll take it for a spin at night as well as daylight.
Because I liked everything else about it.
Maybe someone from RAM will see this and maybe think about those little things that would turn a good truck into a great truck. Or maybe someone out there has the technical expertise to come up with a solution?
I've owned my truck almost a year now. I love it except for the lack of lighting control. It's just such lazy engineering to me.
- Why isn't the accent ring the DRL?
- Why is the accent ring BRIGHTER in the headlights OFF setting than it is when the Parking Lights are on?
- Why are ANY lights...
I don't have any pics yet, but I use the holes in the "bottom" of the block. I face my hooks toward the block and clip them in. Then I rotate them as I pinch the gate clip on the hooks to unhook them. I don't know if that makes any sense. I'll try to take some pics for you.
This all goes...
Supposedly, but from prior threads, it's not a simple addition and more expensive than it's worth. I'd like to see a write up by someone that successfully tried it, but not sure if anyone did it.
Anyone know of any stiffer front panhard bars? I have the Hellwig in the rear and while that's been great, the front end seems way more loose. I'd like to tighten up my cornering.
Sorry, I have no idea. Easiest thing to do is go to a Mopar parts website and look for the schematic. That should give you all the parts, including the hardware.
Okay, my research has led me to believe that FCA failed to correct their literature. I believe the steering group skid-plate is the same as the front suspension skid-plate, and that they neglected to remove one of the descriptions from the ORP details, thus leading me to believe there are...
I looked at the ORP package details online, and they list a Steering Gear Skid-plate and a Front Suspension Skid-plate. I searched online for the specific parts, and I only found the Front Suspension skid-plate. What exactly is the Steering Gear Skid-plate and what does it look like?
I only...
