Catch the fluid is basically just a PSA that brake fluid will leak out once disconnecting the lines... best to catch it rather than let it get all over the ground. I don't recommend reusing it though, as brake fluid is cheap and you don't run the risk of putting dirt back in the system.

Assuming you're talking about the DASM being in plant mode, i don't know of anyone that has been able to get it out of plant without taking it to a dealer. There could be a way, but I'm not aware of the procedure. What Step is referring to I believe is the EPB plant mode, which can be removed...

This sounds like what happens if you wire the dasm power to a source that is not turned on with remote start. I had the same issue. The dasm needs power with remote start and regular start

Long control by comma will overall be a better experience. Comma uses vision + radar to determine how quickly to accelerate, decelerate, etc. It also will slow down for you on sharp curves, ramps, etc. Biggest issue i have with factory ACC is it's use under 55mph. It just does a poor job...
