    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

I was told Big Horns got the biggest discounts so that’s what I was dealing on when I bought my Laramie in Sep last year, I got a Laramie at a 30% discount. I was shocked and felt like I robbed the place. If you’re patient, you’ll find a decent deal. The only issue is that coronavirus has really...

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

I came from a 2017 Silverado, with the 5.3, which is an almost anemic engine compared to the 5.7 Hemi. As far as interior, the Sierra doesn’t compare, even remotely. The Sierra, in my opinion, is drastically overpriced. GM has been having serious issues with their transmissions as well as...

    Is this a good deal?

Not a good deal. My truck, exactly like that one but black, stickered for $54,995, I got it OTD under $43K. I’d walk away.

    Pandemic Related?

This isn’t entirely accurate. Ford still makes passenger cars, the Mustang for example. These things are somewhat cyclical, oil prices being one of the main drivers of the market as well as technology. Yes, a lot of pick-ups are sold in the U.S., however, I wouldn’t be writing the obituary on...

If you have enough money to spend...

Why...would anyone pay that for a Jeep? The Gladiators are overpriced, as-is. I would never go from my nice, cushy Ram to what is basically an off-road capable mini-truck. Moreover, why is it posted in this section for discussion?

    "Them that has, has trouble"

Makes sense but by that logic, why do you have a truck? A truck has an engine that could fail. Why not a horse and a cart? Technology advances and is refined through trial, error and time. I have a Laramie with lots of bells/whistles and only had one minor issue that I corrected quickly.

    Screen froze-stuck on.

Today my screen in my 2019 Laramie froze after a call. I gave it about 25 minutes after parking and it stayed frozen despite starting again and trying to turn it off manually. I was concerned about the battery going dead, so disconnected the negative terminal for about 30 seconds, reconnected...

    Rebel not for off road

I would be willing to wager that the vast majority of Rebel drivers, much like Wrangler drivers, aren’t taking their trucks off road regularly. I got a 4x4 Laramie, sometimes wish I would have went with a Rebel but not a fan of the Rebel grill. Get what you like.

No OEM remote start for ‘20 Bighorn?

Hold them to the “we owe” sheet. The first Ram I bought in July, they hastily promised to add the LED Package as a condition of the sale. Two weeks later, they tried to add LED aftermarket bulbs to my new truck for the $900 they charged me. I held firm and between that and another issue with bed...

    eTORQUE emblem

I understand that...but I wouldn’t get a V6, period. No way in Hell, not on a full-sized pick-up. The fuel savings is negligible, resale is horrible and performance is well-below acceptable.

    eTORQUE emblem

The MPG sucks...at 1600 miles and I still haven’t broken 16MPG on the interstate. Of course, I expected this, but from what I have read the eTorque isn’t much better. I read somewhere MPG will increase around 5000 miles.

    eTORQUE emblem

i chose not to buy an eTorque based on reviews and my own test drive. What amounts to about *maybe 1 extra MPG was not worth the investment and having an eTorque Badge in my mind is almost like having a Pentastar badge on the hood.

    eTORQUE emblem

I don’t understand why anyone would want an eTorque emblem. It doesn’t add power or anything to the engine and just more to clutter the truck. ETorque is nothing to brag about, from everything I have read and all the reviews I have seen.

Please help, don't want to get ripped off

I agree, you’re overpaying for that truck. I’d say you shouldn’t be paying more than $52k. Granted, I have a ‘19 Laramie that stickered for $54,990 and paid around $40k. That price seems awfully high for a Laramie, while mine isn’t a night edition, I have a lot of great options. If you feel like...

How much did you get for your 5th Gen. Trade In or Sale?

Okay... Sticker price $54,990 Price after rebate $40,687 Sales Tax $3398 Price OTD $44,109 After redoing the math, that’s actually 27% off before sales tax ...thanks for bringing that to my attention! There ya go!

How much did you get for your 5th Gen. Trade In or Sale?

Why would he come here and make that up? Then you are telling him to post his Buyer’s Order? I bought my Laramie for about 25% off sticker in August, I know the Summer deals were even better. You’re out of line, why don’t you just go ahead and call him a liar too.

Help with rust from aftermarket parts..

Exactly, now your truck is going to definitely have issues with rust. Flares are already known to contribute to rust development, but now that will be even worse due to the holes in your fenders. I’d say that they have done substantial damage to your truck.

I need some advice on ordering off the lot (missing two key options) or building and risk missing incentives?

If your spending the money, get what you want. Personally, I wouldn’t want the multifunction tailgate, because of the alignment issues and really...people have been driving trucks and using them for years without that type of tailgate. My black Laramie has chrome bumpers and grill, I didn’t...

Price Check on a used 2019 Laramie

I paid $41k new for mine in September, however, it is not a sport. Mine does have the lane assist and is a crew cab 4X4. I think you could get a left-over 2019 for close to that price.

    Leveling worth it?

If it’s a 2wd truck, why would you lift it at all? That makes zero sense. Your better option on a 2wd is leveling it by lowering the rear and if you want to achieve a certain stance, spacers or wider wheels and tires.
