So what is the button next to the axle lock button? I thought it was something to do with "roll control" but the truck is facing the wrong way on the hill if you ask me. I went through the owners manual but didn't find it (doesn't mean it's not there...lol).
Sorry for the blurry pic but you...
Check the ratings on Amazon.... really mixed reviews for the 1000. I was going to get them but think I'll bite the bullet and get the 5000 instead. I've had them before on my 14 and 17 and they were very good and have gotten good reviews.
But to answer your question... there was a guy on the...
I think they had even a bigger problem with the frames on those trucks as well. A buddy of mine had to have the entire frame replaced by Toyota. So it was more a matter of the bad metal they used. Eventually every vehicle gets a bit of surface rust on the underside so if it bothers you that much...
Purchase or lease from my experience, it doesn't matter. Typically the vehicle has to go to the dealer for the same problem four times before you can go that route. I would contact Ram customer service and see what your options are. We had an issue with a 2014 Challenger that Dodge took back...
So I don't have 6-7000 miles yet (1500 approx) but I thought I would share my first towing experience. 20 foot enclosed trailer with my classic car inside, approximately 7500-7800lbs towing. On the NY Through Way which is mostly hills up and down, staying at mostly 65mph I averaged 9.8...
I've always learned and know that using a higher octane than what the engine requires is a waste of money......with that said I've owned an 05, 08, 11, 14, 17 and now a 2019 Ram and each time it was recommended to run 89 octane and stated that 87 was fine. I did multiple comparison tanks on all...
Bringing this back to life... I see they sell a rubber cap for the GM capless filler neck but nothing for the Ram yet. Anyone heard of anything that can be used?
Steve
Love my BigHorn (Northern Edition). It has all the right options and not over done. I've read to many threads where a lot of these extra bells and whistles are nothing but problems (especially in a first year vehicle) and as the truck ages I see fixing some of that stuff as very costly. I like...
I have a bed cover so the cab lights are sort of useless to begin with but I did add these to the inside of the bed

With it being summer I haven't driven it yet in the dark so my reverse lights...
Found it...... AXLE LOCKER SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED This vehicle is equipped with an electronically locking rear differential. This differential, when engaged, mechanically lock together the axle shafts forcing the wheels to spin at an equal rate. The locking of the rear differential should only be...
I just opened the owners manual to read up when to use the "axle lock"...but for the life of me I can't find it! I read the entire section on four wheel drive and saw nothing that says when you can or should engage it. Checked the index and also wasn't able to locate anything on it. The sales...
I've done some reading and the only ones who claim there are any real world gains are the manufacturers. Your not going to have any seat of the pants gains with 5-15 hp..... They do however look cool....lol.
Weathertech sells a bed mat and a tailgate protector. I have the tailgate protector (its a no drill install). It's a good piece and does what's needed but I trimmed the bottom edge so it doesn't get caught between the tailgate and bed (when closed) and then rub all the paint off the bed.
It's...
Painting over chrome is not an easy task. It can be done but it takes a lot of prep and if not done correctly it will chip and peel easily. The best way is to grind off all the chrome but that's not cost effective if your going to pay a shop to do it. You'd probably be better off getting new...
Call me old school but I like these. Inexpensive, great quality, love the look and functionality and installed them myself in about hour and a half. Duratrek 4 inch oval side steps. Paid just under $300 for them.
