Interesting, I talked to Koons months ago (not Craig) and whomever I talked to at the time said 'they' can't apply the penfed discount plus added the destination charge back on. I looked for months and in the end bought a 3 year old slightly used f150 limited.
Ford dealers locally don't discount much, neither do the ram dealers, but overall you'll get more truck in my opinion with the ram for less money.
The 2021 ford has way more engine choices and added a really nice hybrid plus this onboard generator.
I was dead set on getting a ram but the...
The BigHorns are definitely on my radar as well and then the upgrade to a Limited a few years from now. Again my local dealers (within 50 or so miles) have not been very eager to do much on any trim. Was emailing with 2 of them over the labor day weekend and both just stopped communicating.
Getting real here. Emailing with a dealer about custom ordering a 2021 Limited. MSRP: 68.7K His price: 59378 plus any FCA rebates at time of delivery.
His price includes fees, only TTL needs to be added. Only stipulation is that I finance through them.
Also, this dealer is a 10 hour drive from...
Tried hard this weekend on a Limited, but the best I got was 13.75% off MSRP (included D&H excluding TTL). That is just not good enough for a 2020 (at least not for me). Plus the experience with both dealers was 'odd' in that they would not return emails or texts; pretty much ignored me as soon...
Yeah that Laura hurricane was aiming right at the beach house and veered off just in time, actually made me think I should maybe get that new ford with the onboard generator. Then again that won't me do any good if that car is washed away. Anyhow diesel here is 65 c/ gallon *cheaper* than...
Really appreciated the feedback, in the end it might be decided on what discount I can get. I do think the extra initial and maintenance cost will be offset over the lifetime of the truck but in the end probably a wash between the two. Hemi has been around forever so reliable and we don't really...
If I drive 20K / year with the current price difference (Diesel here right now is 65c / gallon cheaper than premium) it would save a bit over 1500 / year in gas money if I take the EPA rating.
Not sure what the oil change difference is between the diesel and hemi ( $200 versus 120 ?) and if one...
Not used to driving / dealing with a Diesel so I hope to get some info from the forums. I am in Colorado where 91 octane is premium and currently Diesel is 65 cents / gallon cheaper than that. I am looking at a Limited, hopefully get a light trailer (600 tongue) in the future. We have a beach...
