There were more variants than that. There were some 4x2 versions (most of them were 4x4). Some had Ramboxes (most didn't). Some were Quad cabs (most were Crew Cabs), etc. There was even one Crew Cab 6-4 bed, 4x2, with a Pentastar 3.6L engine. That was a weird combo. It was in Tank Green.

Sounds like the switch to me. If it was anything else, it wouldn’t remote start. Got a buddy with a 1509 DT? You could try swapping PTS buttons to see if that’s the culprit. It’s pretty quick and easy to do.
