MDS allows the valves to stay closed, it creates an air spring inside the cylinder to help reduce pumping losses from rolling around the extra cylinders that aren't being used. None of that "cold" air is leaving the cylinder.
The manual, and even oil manufacturers, say change at 1 year...which we all know with new synthetic oils that is not needed...but it's a CYA.
The proof may not be required, but it will definitely help to have all the data you can to backup your claim should something happen.
If you're going to sell, I would sell soon. Gas prices are only going to drive values of trucks and large SUV's down.
However, it's not the greatest time to buy as values are still inflated, interest rates are rising etc.
Do they have any pictures to show you the damage that they "found"? Or did you get to see the parts first hand?
I can't imagine the pushrods are worn without other damage being present.
You say 80k so either you have an extended warranty or the diesel? Fill out your signature so we all know...
Welcome. I'm sure you'll have to get used to the mpg of the Hemi(if that's what you have...she's thirsty), but the rest of the truck is well beyond the others.
Welcome and great looking truck. Yes, this forum will give you lots of ideas!
Rotten luck on the damage, see maybe if someone can buff most of it out and then leave it. I'm sure it will pick up more over time!
I agree mostly.
Any oil will protect your engine, just some not as long as others. This will get people too...even dino oil in a 5.7 will work, as long as you change it often enough so that the oil is still effective. Mainly, that the viscosity is in range but there's other things to watch in...
Good catch. It's probably something that was either automatically done or whoever created the lookup doesn't know. I will send a inquiry about it.
edit: Did you also catch the 6.2 engine option in the drop down?
Dual axles will be more stable, plus spreading the load out onto that axle and twice the number of suspension mounting points on the frame.
I ran a Husky centerline and had very little sway with our 32' TT.
Either way, 0W-20 or 5W-20 are likely to be synthetic oils it's the easiest way to hit that cold viscosity number. I doubt it's going to make a difference if you use one or the other, the difference in cold viscosity is so small (3.8 vs. 4.1 cSt) that I bet by the end of the oil change a 0W-20...
I did the math, for my daily commute with my truck vs riding my motorcycle I save about $20 a week, or about $4 a day.
Right now I'm kind of thankful that I only live about 9 miles from work, even though I'd love to be outside of town on some land.

That's just how HD radio is, it's a lot smaller in its reach and is typically only near larger cities.
I had it in another vehicle and turned it off for the reasons you're talking about, the cutting in and out.
