someone should try and repin the rear doors(full range) with the front doors (400hz and below) this way the front doors are full range. obviously in surround mode it would create issues and fading wouldnt work but other than that i bet it would sound better up front.
i had my pulsar on for about 9k miles. its a cool tool. works as advertised. i took it off because i had to take truck in for recalls. i gained over 1 mpg with it off over the last 3 weeks. I decided to sell the pulsar last week. my ram is my daily driver and i found myself mostly using eco...
here is what i did. you are correct the doors and sub are wired out of phase from the factory. so if your adding an amp and you dont have a phase adjustment on the amplifier you will have to wire the sub backwards. i had the same issues at first that the doors were just getting way to much bass...
sweet. those focals are sick. i did a few spl set ups with the mmats 4ks. decent amps, they made good power. the class d full range is different sounding. i would suggest a dsp or a very good analog eq to tame down the frequency response of the class d full range amps. xs power batts are where...
the problem with the factory enclosure is its weak. it needs to be fiberglassed to add strength. it rattles like hell against the back wall of these trucks.
you can disconnect one channel and you will be fine. i posted awhile back about the sub being out of phase and also the front doors. they are that way because of the anc. adding an aftermarket sub amp will mess with the anc especially if you use the amps sub output as your aftermarket amp input...
correct. phase is just a reference . if all the speakers were wired out of phase it would sound exactly the same as if all were in phase. now obviously to eliminate a noise /tone or frequency you just emit the same frequency/tone/noise out of phase. this is what the anc does and how it works.
