There is something unique about the Henry's, the action is smooth and offers a rather pleasing sound. Over the past few years, I sold my Marlin lever actions and replaced them with Henrys. The Marlins and Winchesters didn't have a smooth feeling when cycling the lever.
Sometimes I can't resist...
I was just thinking, is it possible lower axle ratios could, at times depending on track conditions, allow wheel spinning on launch thus costing time? Maybe the 3:21s wouldn't be so quick to "break loose". I don't know what the answer is, track conditions, tire abilities, driver all play into...
I had this issue on my 2013. It turned out to be the tailgate connector. Dealer could not figure it out but I simply pulled the connector apart, used contact cleaner and the problem went away. If you have an OBD scanner, look for a loss of communication with the camera, that will be a clue. RAM...
There are two versions of the ECODiesel, Gen 2 and Gen 3. Gen 3 ECODiesels were introduced in MY 2020 and have been redesigned to fix all the issues Gen 2 folks experienced (you can find YouTube videos on the redesign). My Gen 3 and many others have zero problems outside of the high-pressure...
I don't know about ESC, but I get that light occasionally when driving in the rain and through puddles. If you find out, please let me know. In my case, the next day when I start the ESC light is out.
The last software update brought the new icon. Guess what, now our private space in our trucks has been invaded with advertisements. I'm very disappointed by this.
Do you have the same hard start on a cold start?
If you have access to an OBD scanner that can show live data, look at the fuel pressures. At first look, it sounds like a fuel starvation issue. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that replaced parts are 100% functional.
I've been on the various RAM forums since I bought my first RAM in 2013, so what is that, about 11 years. I do not recall ever reading a thread where someone has an issue with engaging 4-wheel drive (auto, lock, or low) including the RAM HDs, for any reason. That doesn't mean it never happened...
I do too, once a month I'll run it through 4 4-wheel lock and 4-wheel low. I have no idea if this is a requirement or suggested by RAM but what can it hurt. At least I am cycling the transfer case and moving the shifting mechanisms and moving lubricating fluid.
My 2022 came with power running boards, driving in a winter climate and living on dirt roads, I've yet to have any issues with the power running boards. The rear deployable bed step, that's a different story. I've had, at times, a difficult time getting the bed step to deploy. I've tried...
From my experiences with the two RAMs I own, the truck can only determine if a trailer is connected if the trailer has brakes. The ITBM periodically sends a pulse on the brake line looking for a brake circuit, if it detects a slight current draw, it assumes a trailer is connected.
The actions...
I've got several Henry Big Boys in .357 and .44 mag., carbine and 20" barrels with and without side gate loading, all are large loop. Unlike DEG, my experiences have been perfect, not a single issue with any of them. Henrys have the smoothest actions I've ever seen. Henrys also has a lifetime...
My truck displayed the "Power Surge on USB hub detected. Please disconnect the device" for the first time today. It's not heat-related, mid-70s and a cloudy day. I do not have anything plugged into any USB connector nor do I use the wireless charge pad. The only thing I can think of, and this...
What do you mean by "better performance"? A crank battery either cranks or it doesn't. In today's vehicles, the computer won't try to engage a start if the battery falls below a voltage threshold.
Longevity, I think this has yet to be determined and, this chemistry has a nasty habit of catching...
The definition of "gain" may be subjective in this context. Let's define what the "gain" setting does. When you set the gain of the trailer brake controller, you are setting the maximum amount of proportional braking provided to the trailer. If you set the gain to half, the PWM signal will never...
I did view the brake controller's PIDs. As Reagan said, trust with verification. I was investigating an issue with the ITBM at the time, a very serious problem.
RAM seemed to have an issue settling in on a brake control behavior. In 2013 MY they introduced a new brake controller, in 2014 MY...
