Sorry, I missed that part. If you plan on running 295/70R18, you’ll definitely need some sort of lift or level. That’s a 34.3 x 11.6” tire, though the Yokohama is a bit oversized; they spec it at 34.6 x 11.9. That’s as tall as stock TRX tires, but not as wide.
We did it, guys!
Edit: oops, I meant to reply to a different post from @boogielander , but the point stands: we convinced him to let go of the bubble screen!
No, but it depends on tires. Stock tires, no problem. Even when I had 305/60R18 tires in my non-ORP Ram 1500, no lift or level was needed, just some zip tying the wheel well liners out of the way. Those are barely taller than stock, 1.2 wider.
Now I’ve got 295/70R18 tires, a good deal taller...
If you make an underhood mount for the Garmin PowerSwitch, you’ll be my best friend for life.
The only company I know of that makes one for our trucks is NH Overland, but they don’t have it in stock, nor do they have any photos for it.
Not that you’re looking to imitate…but who wouldn’t want...
I wondered, too, so I went to the CMS site and I saw this.
I’ll stick with my unobtrusive CMS MagSafe mounts (driver and passenger side), but I can see how these arm-style mounts could be useful for some devices, people, and scenario. I might even go that route one day if I decide to get an...
Diode Dynamics and @Shifts And Grins Fab also make brackets and kits for pod fog lights. The kit includes a weatherpack-to-DT harness.
Curiously, the brackets are no longer on the S&G site, but you can find them on the DD site. Here for 2-inch pots, or here for 3-inch pods. (The 3-inch pod...
Is it possible to hookup a Taser DT and a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle at the same time?
There are OBD2 splitters on the market, so you can attach two OBD2 devices at a time. I suppose I’m asking if there’s an equivalent for the security gateway connections
Why would one want to do such a thing? In...
@Aseras
Hopefully you’re still around on these forums.
Do you happen to know the names and values of the settings you changed (in AlfaOBD, I assume)? I’m about to do a lithium upgrade myself.
In case anyone is curious, I think I figured out the issue.
First, the left and right rails on my Retrax XR cover weren’t perfectly parallel. There was almost a half in difference in width between the rails at the front of the bed vs the back. This isn’t because of a taper, but because I wasn’t...
Thanks! I guess you’re in the same boat I am: the cover interferes with the measurement. The main thing I’m looking for is to see if there’s a difference between the bulkhead and tailgate measurement; the difference is what matters more than the precision of the measurement.
The reason I want...
@JF19Longhorn @Threesuns1 Either of you (or anyone else) mind helping me out with the above measurements? I'm basically looking for the width from inside rail to inside rail, in two places: near the bulk head (orange line) and near the tailgate (blue line).
Hello dear 6'4" bed fans! Would one of you kind folk mind taking two width measures of your bed for me, please?
One nearest the cab, and one nearest the tailgate.
Why not do this myself, you may ask? Well, I've got two reasons. One is that I have a Retrax cover on it which makes it trickier to...
