I am running KMC Impact 18x9" 00MM offset on my 21 ram limited. Rides/looks great. There isn't much clearance between the rotor and wheel and a few small rocks have caused small scratches on the inside of the rim on dirt roads. Balance weights must be placed on the inside and outside of the rim of course.

I have read some comments where people have stated that the 18 inch wheels are so tight that their brake calipers made contact with wheel weights if applicable.
You can see I had to move these very close to the wheel face to clear. My new set has ceramic balance beads and I have no regrets. I hear a lot of negative feedback on beads.

I had that happen with my Fuel Blitz wheels, but that had a lot to do with the placement of the weights. I had they rebalanced, with the weights towards the outside edge, and we lived happily ever after.
Did your truck need any sort of lift or leveling to make the 18x9 +1 offset wheels fit without rubbing, scrubbing or needed trimming?

No, but it depends on tires. Stock tires, no problem. Even when I had 305/60R18 tires in my non-ORP Ram 1500, no lift or level was needed, just some zip tying the wheel well liners out of the way. Those are barely taller than stock, 1.2 wider.

Now I’ve got 295/70R18 tires, a good deal taller, and I do have a lift.

But again, it’s mostly the tires, not the wheels.

Looking to add the same wheel tire combo.
Sorry, I missed that part. If you plan on running 295/70R18, you’ll definitely need some sort of lift or level. That’s a 34.3 x 11.6” tire, though the Yokohama is a bit oversized; they spec it at 34.6 x 11.9. That’s as tall as stock TRX tires, but not as wide.

There's guys running 285/55R22 stock, with no rub after a heat gun on front liners

They are almost a half inch narrower. That little bit, can make a difference.
