Gruy7th,
Beautiful! How'd you decide on the Boss ATs? They do look bad ***! How's the noise?
Rmazzei,
Thanks for the Toyo post - looks great and I'm sort of leaning that way so its great for comparison!
Has anyone mounted one of the replacement rear view mirrors that include a dash cam and maybe 2nd remote camera?
I'm getting a lear camper shell with no windows and would like to pick up some visibilty by mounting a camera back there.
Great comments all!
It's sinking in now that the truck is built to wave its butt in the air even if it doesn't need too. The workaround is the Daystar spacer - if you can't bring the tail down bring the nose up - but I don't want to go higher.
And if I drop the rear I'll be hitting the bump...
Well sure, but 2 inches?
Having that hinee way up in the air like that is costing us is my conjecture. I've got a Leer topper on order and I'll bet if I could pick up mpg by running the rig a little less nose down - plus it'll look a helluva lot better.
Thanks, and put some pictures up if you get it looking right. A height neutral leveling is my goal.
I wonder though if dropping the rear with links softens the tail, as in reduces load carrying capacity?
I hate the rake on my truck and am thinking about getting the Revel links.
I was wondering though, what exactly is the point of the rake on truck with the 4-corner air anyway?
With springs the jacked up rear serves a purpose, but with the air the leveling pump just holds the foretilt...
Yeah, ceiling air bags killed the roof grab handle on a lot of models. There should have been nationwide protests and riots in the street, according to my wife at least.
I'll bet there's a way for an aftermarket vendor to safely wedge something up into the door frame like they do with the...
I believe the hack on the 2019 is to lower the truck to entry/exit, turn off and exit the vehicle, then start the vehicle with the remote starr. You can then enter the vehicle and drive it around stuck in entry mode.
This topic has been argued to death in here, with some really excellent posts too. One point is that if you first do your weight calculations including fuel, passengers, and gear, you'll see how little is left over for tongue weight and you'll find that the heaviest trailer you can pull is...
So I went looking online at interior pictures of the 2020 F150 and Silverado and noticed the same darn thing - no more ceiling handle. They all now have the same big moulded a-pillar job like it was dumped on them by the truck commissar.
The gen4 Ram of course has the good ole ceiling handle...
I'm thinking it's the shocks. They went for a cushier ride on the gen5, and so now you got a bouncer.
As for the 4 corner they really need to have electronically adjustable shocks to properly compensate for an increased load.
My wife hates that there is no handle on the ceiling. I wish we had a forum here, "complain to FCA" that they were forced to read. The handle misplacement topic would score some big points there I think.
