Ever owned a Titan? I don’t think they are any more reliable than the big 3. Cracked exhaust manifolds has been a problem for them since day one, and the placement of cat converters means when they go bad, the pieces get sucked back into the engine.

I don’t know if your friend had mud tires or aftermarket exhaust, but my 5.7 with 3.92 is by far the quietest vehicle I’ve owned. It puts my wife’s Audi to shame.

My 22 non etorque Hemi does this as well.

Why stop at 5w-30? Why not 20w-50? It offers more protection. I will install what the engineers deemed my engine needs. If I am wrong, I have a warranty to cover me.

Mine is standard Hemi, not etorque. The lurching is going to rear end someone someday.

I have a similar feeling on my non etorque Hemi. If I back out of a spot, put it in drive, press the throttle slightly to move up 10 feet or so, then hit the brake, it surges and lurches forward.

TFL did a MPG gauntlet. Surprisingly, the Hemi got better MPG towing.

I have the non etorque big horn 20” 3.92 and get considerably better. Usually 16ish 90% city.

For me, it was a no brainer. The added care plus was less than $1100 for 8/96.

I started out with a Tacoma. It struggled with a 4K lb travel trailer, and a 21 gallon tank at 10 mpg sucked. Got a Ram Hemi and it is night and day.

Mine was losing presets and blank screen, too. The dealer reflashed it, and has been perfect since August. It does pop when opening doors, though.

Some of these towns I would have to stop at are $1.50 more per gallon not $.03. Heading north from Vegas is all tiny towns until you get to Reno.

23 gallons at 9 mpg is only a little over 200 miles. I live in Vegas. If I had to fill up every 200 miles while towing, I would be stopping at all the expensive gas stations in the middle of nowhere. I want to choose where I fill up.

Wow. Something seems way off. Mostly city Hemi/3.92 I get over 16. I’m getting better mileage than you while towing a travel trailer.

This thing tows way better than a Tacoma.

If you want a Bighorn with leather, Ram sells a Katzkin aftermarket for a reasonable price. There is also custom fit Clazzio leather seat covers available for 500 or so You can get a new Bighorn in your price range depending on the configuration you want. I paid less than 45k for my quad cab...

Your logic is flawed. You cannot buy a truck exactly like your old ones. Vehicle manufacturers have to keep up with regulations, increasing safety rules, increasing mpg, etc. That costs r&d money.
