You shouldn't be charged anything if its under warranty. I would get a hold of RAM and take it to a different dealership. They probably don't have the experience to check it out.

I installed power boards from Rough Country on my 2023 Ram and they look same as Mopar ones and a lot cheaper. Plus you only need the positive and negative from the battery you good to go!

I installed the trifecta 2.0 soft tri fold and seems good I drove thru some nasty rain and the bed was still dry. They gave you rubber to seal the gap at the tail gate ,no issues. Love it , Good luck.
