An example of an OBD II adaptor is my OBD MX+ this will allow you to use the software of choice to make your changes. So I use a security bypass cable, then I plug my OBD MX+ into the OBD port on the end of the bypass cable. Then turn on the reader and enable Bluetooth on my tablet/phone...
All,
I just installed the Mopar integrated trailer brake controller and programmed using my AlphaOBD. As the title/question asks can this be done to move the trailer settings from the settings menu to the Apps menu? It would be easier for me to set my trailer by hitting the Apps button vs...
Your truck will require at a minimum a bypass cable. I have one of the approx. $20.00 cables from Amazon and there is another choice that costs a bit more but attaches differently. MY cable you have to practice what I call, "truck yoga," to get plugged in, but it is doable. But it then will...
There are similar posts about your similar topic. There are reports that one of the solutions was checking and correcting all the electrical ground points, (there are numerous.) I am not a mechanic so I can not validate. There are also reports that the park sense module replacement did not...
I will engage all the drive modes of my transmission/transfer case/front axle on a gravel lot. I do this at slow speeds. The goal is to move the gears and fire the various solenoids to engage and disengage. I make long sweeping turns (other wise the front end will bind.) I try to do this...
I'm not a wizard with this stuff, but are you able to obtain fault code(s)? There are folks out here who once armed with codes can maybe provide useful information to follow to solve your respective issues.

I just changed tire size to 275/60/R20 on my stock OEM rims. I bought Bridgestone Dueller AT Revo 3s they are quiet are rated for 60K and are 3peak snow rated. In what little rain I have driven tires have not made me concerned. I am a conservative driver and generally slow down in the rain...
I have noted a similar experience with my truck 48k miles with a regular 5.7 engine. No CEL and no obvious rough idle that I am able to detect. It appears to shift as expected. I have used only Top-tier gasoline in the truck since I have owned it, I got it Nused. Mostly Highway miles, driven...
Each map update is keyed to a specific truck. For example, I bought one last year my vin was compared to the vin I entered on the website when ordered, when I ran the install program. So you can not update your truck with my update due to being "Vin Locked" which may be the reason no one has...
Glad you figured it out. Does it look like the plastic liner has come partially undone vs. the factory installation aka missing screws/bolts?

Are you using the factory rims and the same factory-size tires?
If you went wider or changed rims or tire size any or both could be your reason for the tire rub?
Is there any obvious points that the tires are rubbing that can be noted upon an exam of the wheel well?

As of this moment, I do not leak from the rear window or the third brake light thank god, but that is subject to change. I usually check after most rain storms when I remember.
I pray, during every rain storm that my truck remains dry as it lives outside.

Thank you all who responded to my question.
I think my standard rear gear ratio is 3.21 or something close to that number(s), I am not a mechanic. no locker, no anti-spin rear, just the factory default rear end vs. all the other factory options you can order. I got my truck Nused so it came as...
I used to own a 2500 Chevy HD Diesel truck, and I had the Michelin LTX Load range E tires on that truck for many years. I was towing on a regular basis (horses) they were quiet, and the ride was stiff but so was the suspension for the loads I needed to support.
Load range tires have stiffer...
Wow, I have not seen that style before, I just got new tires :(
I love that style of wheel, but I also have 20-inch in a different style of rims so I can't be of use.
Maybe a junkyard may provide an affordable solution.

I did the same thing using my AlphaOBD system, I was able to find a preloaded tire size that was the exact tire size I had installed, there is a very small error but I am willing to deal with that error it is a fraction of an MPH wrong. It keeps me very close to GPS vs. Speedometer indicated...
Hello All,
Thanks all for the time, information, and effort to respond, some follow-up results.
I had my wife take the truck back to the dealer last week. I have been busy at work so not been on the forum.
Anyway, the dealer stated that there was not a problem and returned the truck. I'm...
