Excuse my ignorance here, but what is the difference between a leveling and a 2" raise kit? I'd like mine lifted a bit but not sure exactly what I need/want yet.
Thanks!
I'm looking to install some air bags to level out the back end when towing. I came across these which look nice, easy to install, and no frame modifications:

I'm curious to hear what other have used, liked, and recommend. These will be going on...
Ah, interesting. If I have continued problems I may need to explore some thing like that. Hopefully this is a rare issue that I won't see often. Thanks for the suggestion!
It would surprise me if my amp is throwing off my system. I wouldn't completely rule it out, but I began with the standard 6 speaker system and my amp isn't massive (I fall way short of needed an auxiliary or supplemental battery for the system). My voltage has never been an issue. But yeah...
I've had a few problems with my UConnect and usually restarting the truck takes care of it. When I disconnected the battery, it took a bit longer for everything to get right again.
Today when I started the truck, I had no audio and the volume meter would not move when twisting the volume. I...
The six speaker base cannot use Maestro mode. Hooking up the DSR1 in Maestro mode bypasses the amp and ANC. You will not use it at all. And I'd suggest bypassing the ANC in six speaker mode too, although you can get away with using it (but probably see issues like YoAdrian explained).
If it is, I don't know to know cause it's a done deal now for me ;)
I am getting lower than expected when I bought it, and I tend to drive pretty mild. Part of that could be the tires... I'm not sure.
...I want bigger/beefier tires--which will make it even worse.
My console says the oil still has over 1/3rd of it's life, and I'm over 5,000 miles. I've always changed the oil at 3-5,000. Does this really have a 9,000 mile cycle? It makes me wonder if a couple thousand miles ago I accidentally pressed "OK" to reset and didn't realize it...
I've not had great luck with the voice nav. "Find the nearest starbucks" or something along those lines seems to work, but it's hit and miss. I end up just using my iPhone and Car Play's navigation most of the time.
Looks great! I did my front sides to match the back and def prefer that look! I didn't do the front because most of the vehicles I've seen tinted aftermarket have a hard break at the AS1 line that looks horrid. Looks like the transition on yours is pretty clean. What's the law for the windshield...
My system didn't have the factory sub, and I used that location to mount my Amps and Crossovers. I used one of the threaded bolt locations for the sub that was unused and covered with tape. No noise at all, and I stacked the ground wires from both amps (4 and 10 gauge).
Somebody posted a write up that I used. It's in one of the stereo chats as an attachment. If I get time I'll try and find it. Basically remove the cover plates and the two screws behind them (one is behind the handle). Then start at the bottom and pull out to snap off the connectors. I was sure...
I unplugged and removed the ANC completely. I then just tapped the front/rear speaker wires directly from the radio and routed them into my DSR1. Everything works fine and just like before (bluetooth, Navigation, chimes, alerts, etc.). I have no extra noise from subs from the noise cancellation...
The radio sends out an amplified signal when you have the base six speaker system. The ANC is more of a DSP than an amplifier. If the ANC is causing problems, one way to fix the issue is to remove it. How did you tap in your sub? You could also try tapping before the ANC, and route everything...
