My next step is plain clear dawn dish soap one ounce diluted in a 32oz bottle. Spray area and gently scrub with a leather brush. Then blot area with a towel. May take multiple treatments. Let the leather dry a little while between scrubbing sessions. Not allowing the leather to dry or scrubbing...
As far as the oil spot, pour talcum powder on the spot and let it sit. The longer the better should pull a majority if not all of it out.

Right there with ya, CarPlay needs to be wired so I see no need for it. However the getting rid of the noise was worth the frustration. The nerve racking part was praying not to break a clip or wire connection.

It wasn’t fun, a real royal pain. The pad is plastic welded into the housing. They could have just used rubber nipples to allow it to be easily removed. I installed the trailer brake module so dove in and took it apart. There was a dime that somehow got in there.

The Battery Sensor is locate on the ground terminal post of the battery. I don’t know exactly what it does, I haven’t looked into it. I’m positive it feeds into the bcm for some reason.
After some research it is a battery temperature sensor. It is responsible for regulating the charging of the...
So installed the trailer brake control today, and had something sliding around behind the rubber cell phone holder backing. So I disconnected the batter but before taking the negative cable off I disconnected the BATTER SENSOR first then removed the ground cable.
Well 2 hours later after...
Ceramic coatings are a semi permanent sacrificial layer of protection. With swirl marks and minor scratching the coating takes the hit instead of the clear coat. In 2-4 years when the vehicle needs defect removal the polishing takes off the coating along with the swirls with minimal clear coat...
That is typical of all vehicles where you have a plastic panel meeting a metal panel. The different substrates affect the paint color ever so slightly. It is more noticeable on white vehicles.

I have something rattling/sliding around behind the rubber backing pad of the cell phone holder. Is there a way to get that piece off without having to take half the dash apart?

The trucks have brake assist (not to be confused with adaptive braking) feature which detects moisture or buildup on the rotor surface and light applies pad pressure to clear the rotor surface to help ensure a clean braking surface.

The fobiks are the key fobs. It comes with 2 new ones that get programmed to the truck. The instructions point out that the dealer needs to make sure to return new and old fobiks to the customer as the old fobiks remained programmed to the truck. This does require a dealer to flash the bcm to...
Here you go Fobiks included

Dealerships use this as a scare tactic to ensure they get their commission check from the lending agency. Once the contract is done with the lender the dealership has nothing more to do with the financing. They have their money from the lender for the truck.

To be honest I have a feeling it’s on Apple this time. IOS 13 has a nasty bug that kills off background apps. I have had issues ever since I did the update on my phone. Before 13.2 it was flawless.

If you bought the Mopar damper you need the right key fob. In the install instructions at the bottom it outlines for the dealer to add the sales code and program the new fobik. Also states to make sure the old as well as the new fobiks are given to customer. The old ones are still operable for...
I have 275/70/R18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W on stock bighorn wheels. My truck is a stock 4x4. I have zero issues, saw a .5 to 1 mpg loss, however I’m not recalibrated either. Trans took about 600 miles to relearn and can tell no difference from the stock 275/65’s other than a firmer ride from E rated...
