I was able to get the hood ajar monitoring setting updated. I haven’t tested it yet to see if the alarm trips if the hood is opened (when activated).
Do you know if your alarm goes off if the hood is opened?
Update!.....
Hi @frisby5,
I have a Bighorn as well. When I programmed with AlfaOBD it told me the setting ‘Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) Hood Ajar Monitoring’ was already set to yes. My original config file and backup shows this setting is ‘no’. See attached.
I tested the alarm by arming it, got...
I enabled Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) using AlfaOBD. It appears to be working.
One setting "Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) Hood Ajar Monitoring" was already set to yes although the backup file says it is set to no (everywhere this setting exists in the backup file), and this setting was not flagged as...
I did this mod. It appears to be working. Notes:
1. My Bighorn already had the "Connector A Pin 11: Hood Ajar Switch Input Present" set to yes.
2. This one is weird. "Vehicle Theft Alarm (VTA) Hood Ajar Monitoring" was already set to yes although the backup file says it is set to no everywhere...
Added the following to my Level 1 Bighorn:
Header Wiring Part #68488874aa
Rain Sensor Part #68298334aa
Changed the two settings in AlfaOBD as described earlier in the thread.
I now have rain sensing wipers.
Notes:
1. Take your time. Running the new harness is a little challenging. Removing...
Maybe some pros can answer this question. @Brutal_HO @Jimmy07 @FM45
Toward the top of the log file/settings, there is a long list of settings under “ECU Qualification”. I have not changed any of these myself using AlfaOBD.
Here are some examples under this setting category that seem related...
Made a bike rack out of the bed rails. Took a little work. Everything inside/nothing hanging out.

What do you all mean by cleat? If you mean the connection point similar to what came with the Ram/Mopar rails, then perhaps the Toyota cleats will fit. However, for attaching other accessories, I had to shave a bit off of the height of a t-nut designed to fit the Toyota rail system in order to...
Success. Using a flap wheel on an angle grinder, I shaved about 1/8” off of each t-nut. They move along the rail smoothly and secure the bike fork attachments. I made four of these attachments (8 t-nuts) for my family’s bikes. The bikes are tight to the cabin and nothing hangs out. Plenty of...
I know its been talked about a ton, but just changed:
Car configuration change: Front Fog Lamp Dropout Enabled to No
Using a Google search, I was able to confirm that having high beams and fogs (more than four lamps) on all at once is illegal in AR (for simplicity, there are some technical...
If interested, cleat dimensions here. I want to use mine as a bike rack.

The cleat for our Ram bed rails is similar to the t-nut that works in the Toyota rails but not the same. I also added pictures of the Ram cleat and part number, although I can’t find any Mopar suppliers that carry this part. The Amazon picture shows the Toyota t-nut dimensions. I purchased some...
