B.U.G., bed utility group, bed rail accessories?

Yes, the bed divider is only included when you get the ramboxes.
I assume the divider can still be used without Ramboxes if purchased aftermarket? Does it just connect to the existing rails on each side?

Yes but a different part number
Width of the bed is different with and without ramboxes

I’ve had 2 dealers tell me the cargo divider does not come on a ‘21 Limited w/ RamBoxes & BUG.

They are mistaken. If you have RamBoxes and BUG the divider is included in the BUG. I built mine with BUG but no RamBoxes. No divider for me.

Many thanks Cochise! Having the bed divider will limit my tonneau cover choices, correct?

Would be nice to have some in bed storage that can mount to those rails. Might have to make something. Seems like a missed opportunity by Ram to not have more options available?

If you are asking about the bed divider/extender that comes with the RamBox BUG trucks, it doesn’t interfere with tonneau covers at all. It locks into indentations on the side of the bed. It doesn’t touch the utility rails.

The cleat for our Ram bed rails is similar to the t-nut that works in the Toyota rails but not the same. I also added pictures of the Ram cleat and part number, although I can’t find any Mopar suppliers that carry this part. The Amazon picture shows the Toyota t-nut dimensions. I purchased some Toyota t-nuts to compare.

Cleat dimension comparison and notes:
  • Ram overall height is slightly less than 5/8” from bottom of cleat to bottom of upper flange. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE-accessories do not tighten with the Toyota t-nut...need about 1/16" to 1/8" shorter overall height for it to secure.
  • Width 7/8” at base, but up to 1" width at base would likely fit.
  • Slot width 9/16”
  • By eyeballing it, looks like a 3/8” t-bolt inside the Ram cleat.
Therefore, the Toyota t-nuts will not work unless you can shave about 1/8" off of the overall height.

My conclusions are consistent with this post here for the M12 (metric) t-nut.

Success. Using a flap wheel on an angle grinder, I shaved about 1/8” off of each t-nut. They move along the rail smoothly and secure the bike fork attachments. I made four of these attachments (8 t-nuts) for my family’s bikes. The bikes are tight to the cabin and nothing hangs out. Plenty of room for gear.
