Here is what happened to my ram after about 5800 miles.
1. Flashed (didn't fix)
2. New O2 sensor (didn't fix)
3. New wiring harness (so far so good. Required them to remove the body from the frame. About 12 hours labor)
Link to that thread below. Within the thread is the work order from the...
Dealership finally has the new wiring harness so the truck goes in tomorrow. They don't have an ETA on completion because as they said, "It's kind of a new thing for us..." I will update again when I actually have the completed work order. At least they are giving me a brand new Jeep Wrangler...
I think this is similar to when you're using the adaptive cruise control and the vehicle in front of you slows and changes lanes to make a right turn. The truck doesn't realize there is no longer the vehicle in front and will brake with them. Kind of annoying but now that I am used to it and...
Ditto
I don't think a professional shop will have any difficulty getting those light scratches out. Also, I don't trust the waterless solutions. Worse case, if I don't have time to do a full wash I will liberally spray an area with Beadmaker and then dry off, however, this is for a vehicle that...
Definitely recommend. I paid $800 in Idaho which included a good polish as well. The dealer left some swirls so I wanted to get rid of those prior to coating it. I will probably do it again in the next 2 years.
Unfortunately had to change my vote from no issues to electrical issue. Check engine light came on and after trying a few different things, the dealer will be removing the body from the chassis and replacing the wiring harness.
Not sure what the code was but honestly it sounds kind of like a Hail Mary in trying to fix the issue. They mentioned there were only 37 other trucks in the country with this issue but whether I believe this or not doesn’t really matter. As long as it’s fixed in the long run.
This is kind of a bummer but thought I would put it out there just in case someone else runs into this.
By no means is this a truck bashing post. I love my truck and everything about it. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat. I knew prior to buying it that, like any first edition, there was a...
Did the seat fan sound like Chewbacca until you restarted it? Mine does that on occasion and I was thinking of trading it in for a .... (pulls card out of hat) Nissan Titan. I heard they are better. ;)
I have definitely seen improvement over time. It is probably a combination of the engine break in along with a slight change in the way I drive (more coasting). My last few fill-ups: 15.7, 16, 16.5, 15.1, 15.2, 14.3, 14.8, 15.6. Nothing magnificent but it's improvement from past fill-ups.
