How are the factory tires on my truck working out for those that tow? Getting the truck set up to pull my new camper and wasn’t sure if this was a needed upgrade. If you are upgrading, what LT tires are you going with?
We love it, only looking to upgrade in size is why we are getting rid of it. The trailer is very well made but the setup and take down is getting tiresome, and I’d like to get in and out of bed without crawling over my wife. Lol
That’s what has me curious. Seems the general consensus is don’t go over 30’ with a half ton and try to stay under 28’ for best performance. Are those numbers the box length or the bumper to hitch length? Lol
I’m more concerned with the length than the weight at this point, specs state the trailer is 32’ but in actuality, the box is 28’ and it’s 32’ bumper to hitch. Is that a new way to class them (bumper to hitch) or has it always been done that way? I originally wanted to stay 28’ or...
The length does have me concerned. Here is the X23B I pull now, it’s 23’ before the bunks are folded out. This pic was taken with my 2016 Ram before I traded it off for the ‘19. This trailer pulls like a dream, bately even knowing it’s back there other than loss of fuel mileage.
And here is a link to one I’ve got my eye on strongly. If the truck is capable, this will probably be what I walk away with.

Shopping for a new camper and I want to make sure I don’t overdo it, I’ve always been the guy that hooks anything up to everything and goes with it. I’ve seen the threads on stickers and weights but I’m having a hard time following along.
So, my trucks stats are in my sit and here are my door...
I happen to have all 3 sitting in my garage. The Mopar and the weathertech were for my ‘16 ram, the husky are for my ‘19, all are the drivers side mat. I can show the rear if anyone wants to see the difference there also. I apologize they all need cleaning right now...
The Mopar are very thick...
I never said they weren’t better than the Mopar ones, I said they weren’t as thick and rubbery. My Mopar ones were very thick and soft rubber but I much prefer the weathertech over the Mopar, and the husky over the weathertech.
Can the active noise cancelling be turned off? Or is there a way to tell if it’s working. We’ve had ours for about a month and a half now and it’s pretty quiet on the inside but nothing like that first ride home. I was amazed that nothing could be heard and I just don’t get that feeling in it...
I had the Mopar mats in my ‘16 and eventually switched them out with weathertech since it was impossible to keep the black soft rubber looking clean. Had the weathertech in for a week when I traded it in for the ‘19 and ended up putting husky in it. So far the weathertech and husky both are...
I’ve already had my eye on the stealth fighter bumpers but planned on waiting until after the left was put on. She doesn’t realize she just gave me ammo to get them. Hahaha
For my wife to close the garage door on the back of my truck.
She hasn’t sent pictures yet but says the painted bumper is scraped pretty good and there is 1 deep scratch. She blames it on the truck being longer than our ‘16 ram was....I’m trying to not run around and kick puppies.
How does the 5th gen do compared to the 4th? I’ve not had a chance to hook my camper up behind the new truck yet but it’s optioned out very similar to my old truck....crew cab, 4x4, 5.7, 3.92 gears, factory brake controller, etc... My window sticker shows something called trailer sway damping...
