No, the OTA and search function are not supposed to require either.
However, it does use the cell signal to do the transfer, my worry is that I have such crappy service in my area through AT&T that it may not try to update because of that.
I'm wondering if those of us on a version earlier than 18.45.x are going to get this. Seems like everyone has been at at least that version so far that has received the OTA.
I really wish I was more friendly with techs that have access to the dang downloads, it's not like it's some Konami code to get it to update; copy the update to a 16gb thumb drive, plug into truck, press update, go watch a TV show, boom you are done.
The part where it mentions performing an...
I keep a spreadsheet with all of this, and am somewhat confident in my numbers after going through the towing thread and some Google-fu. Placed your numbers in:
GVWR - Payload = Base weight.
7100-1682=5418lbs
GCWR - Base Weight = Trailer Weight Rating
13900-5418=8482lbs
That is the theoretical...
If I recall the steps right... You need to be in the vehicle with all doors closed:
1. Place vehicle to On position (not running)
2. Hold down green phone and vr buttons on steering wheel for 30sec
3. Wait for radio screen to go blank
4. Turn vehicle off
5. Open driver door for 30sec

At this point unless there is some major feature that gets added I don't want one, everything on mine works as it should and has since day 2 of ownership after a soft reset was done.
Throwing my info in:
HW: CNSC28N0GL
SW: 18.27.17
BM:18.26.01
EQ: 3.4
Built 8/18, no OTAs or dealer updates unless they did it and didn't tell me during the few services/recalls I've had.
Good morning everyone, can anyone tell me what part # the circled panels are? They are the individual pieces just under the headlights, I need the passenger side one.
I believe you have it correct for the rears as far as what does what, for the front though it sounds as if your DRLs got set to active. With the LED headlights they stay on at, I believe, 50% as DRL, then go to 100% when headlights go to on. The LED strips above and below are accent lights...
If you want a really great demonstration of why a leaf blower is a great tool to use for this, wash the truck then dry it as good as you possibly can using traditional methods. Once you've gone through all of that and you don't spot a drop of water take the leaf blower to it, you'll be amazed...
I can manage low to mid 20s during interstate drives, but what really kills the mpg is driving around small towns without many stops. 25-35 mph roads with bends and hills are what push mine down. I've hand calculated every single fill up and my lowest was 13.68 on winter blend with lots of...
So rear brake TSB done yesterday, it was pouring rain when I took her home and I thought I hear squealing. Took her out today and definitely heard loud squealing when light braking from between 50 and 60, had my wife hang her head out the window and she thinks it's coming from the front now...
