If you have an extended warranty, read it - mine (bought the 8/75 MAXIMUM CARE warranty from the dealer when I bought my truck) allows for a total of up to 3 replacement key fobs/ up to $600 at no cost. Page 4 of 14 under the "Components Covered" section-Key Fobs paragraph. I basically walked...
Another question, before I make this happen. Thinking this through, am I correct in assuming that even if the toggle switch is wired into the start/stop switch, remote start WILL still work? Of course, you would still have to flip the switch upon entry before hitting the start/stop switch in...
I did a search in the forums and came up empty, so here goes. A while ago, my favorite radio station here in Central NJ changed it's format from Country to something else. I recently was frequency searching and found the same station on HD. It used to be 94.7 but now comes up on 94.7-2...
Not a person, but a brake controller that should activate the brakes based on a change it senses while moving. I'd like to know when the brakes in the truck get activated via the light.
Per my signature, I have a 2019 Laramie edition - absolutely love it. I have been searching for a wiring diagram for this model,, but haven't found one. Specifically, I am looking for the brake light switch that is activated every time I step on the brake pedal. Reason? I tow my truck behind...
This post came from something that is a real question and is not intended to be a "knock" on Ram, but more of a "I had nothing else to think about one day while fueling up" question .
Whenever I gas up my truck at the gas station, I always fill it. I always reset the gas mileage...
I have one of those telescoping bars with those same rubber feet on the ends, but added (2) 27 black plastic gallon totes I got from BJs for $11 each (also available from Home Depot and other places). The totes have lids so when we go grocery shopping, we fill 'em, put the lids on, and then...
Changed my mind - returned the hidden strobes. While I'm sure I could have done the install, the potential downside to getting the headlights out just to drill them and then risking condensation was more than I anticipated. I'll get by with a light sitting on the dash.
I just ordered a kit with 6 LED hidden strobe lights for my truck to use when responding to the fire department for calls. Haven't pulled out the headlight or tail light assemblies yet as I'm waiting on delivery of the kit, but wanted to ask before I start if there are others that have done...
Going in reverse will not necessarily hurt the truck, but could damage the tow bars. I tried to back up once when I got into a tight spot leaving a campsite and it damaged one of the bars such that it would no longer go in and out. I had to disconnect it from the RV. Took a sledge hammer...
I flat tow my 2019 behind my RV, but I have the Hemi and not sure (too lazy to look ;)) at the weight difference. It tows back there just fine. I ordered everything I need from eTrailer.com, including a braking unit that hooks right into the vacuum line. Works fine and is fairly hidden from...
agreed - plus (2) 27 gallon totes that fit perfectly side-by-side to hold everything. When I have stuff to put back there, pop the lids on the totes, put the stuff in, then carry the full totes inside for emptying. Makes helping with grocery shopping a LOT easier - 2 trips in and done.
Spring is almost here, and it will soon be camping season. I tow my truck behind my RV, and would like to add a light that works off the brake pedal switch which operates the brake lights. The light will get mounted at the top of the windshield behind the rearview mirror so I can see it in my...
Update - went on Amazon and ordered a Faraday box for the house. TinConn brand. It arrived and looked pretty good. Put my cell phone in it - closed it - called it - IT RANG!! Back in the box - heading to the UPS store tomorrow to return it!
So, with reviews for pouches/boxes being mixed, wouldn't it be better to install a hidden ignition kill switch? Yeah - they can clone the fob and get in, but they can't start it if the ignition is disabled, right?
Thanks. By the way, its not the speed in shifting for me - its how quick I shut down AFTER backing up and putting it in park. The last few times I got home, I waited until the mirrors returned before I shut down. It worked as advertisied.
