Throw mine out there too…starting creaking about a month ago. The video posted here sounds more like knocking where mine is a true creak when you turn (sounds like an old door being opened). Driving me insane! Sounds like a truck that I’ve had since 1987 but this is a 2020 🤣. Is this what...
If you are looking to put a lift on it and bigger tires, I would try and move past the mileage concern. You are def going to take a hit for sure. I am getting about 17 mpg on the highway if I am lucky lol. There is a little diff in road noise but I more from the tires. Here is my setup too.
LOL. That's awesome!
When I called WK, they stated they would still make the rails for me but not as a bolt-on application. The legs would not be attached and someone would have to weld them on and then weld to the frame. More cost-effective for me to just have a local guy just make them and...
Thanks for the write up! Def on the wishlist and they are just north of me. Like doing biz with local if I can.
Jealous of your WK sliders...unf they do not make them for the 33g tank trucks. Found a 4x4 fabricator in Denver that is going to make them and weld them to the frame for me. Had the...
Agree...I tackle a lot of things on my truck but since this was a warranty job and heard nightmares of getting the sheared bolts out of the block (from a buddy who is a tech that has done many of these), decided to let them handle it.
That's good to hear...according to the service guy, it's still the same. Mine didn't crack though, they sheared the bolt heads off and left the bolts stuck in the block. Happens due to the expansion and contraction of the manifolds (heating and cooling). But...hope the design has changed cause I...
Funny...same thing here too, but guess I just accepted it. A lot of dirt roads/trail driving and have just said it is what it is because of that. I can see where, if you are not driving on these types of roads, it can get super annoying to try and keep a clean truck. Sorry you are dealing with that.
Got it back from the dealer with newly, remounted exhaust manifolds...both sides! Two bolts sheared in the block on each side resulting in the dreaded Hemi Tick 😡. Asked if they changed the design and was told they did not...more than likely will happen again 🤬.
I scrapped the whole idea of trying to go with something that is ready to just mount. I found an off-road fabricator in the Denver area who can build a whole set for me and weld them to the frame for me...about the same price if not less. Will post here when / if I get them done.
Amazing!
I am usually a Mich man with tires but I have told several people that I am def going this route again on this truck. I live in CO and we do not get a lot of rain, but when we do they have been outstanding. They really are an all-weather tire that has great on/off-road capability...
Those are nice. Seriously gave those a consideration when I bought mine. I ended up putting a winch in the garage ceiling and built a frame for the topper to sit on. It's not the easiest to remove but I can if I need the full bed.
One of the others that I am seeing more and more of is the...
Could be??? Snugtop is part of the Leer group. Usually...there is a plate or something inside indicating what it is. Shocked there isn't any branding on it.
Running a Snug Top here too with sport windows (swing up and slides). Have been very happy with it and have used it camping quite a bit. This is an older pic...just bent my right step on a Boulder this weekend. LOL.
Just looked on YouTube and the real-world reviews about their products and company do not look all that great. Might be looking at some White Knuckles…hearing good things about their products.
Anyone have experience with these/this company?? Have been taking my ram a little more off-road and had a boulder bend my Mopar steps (yes, I know they are not rails/sliders) and decided I should prob upgrade.
