I asked the same question when I got my truck. What you are seeing is normal and they do go off on their own. I pretty much concluded that they were neat...but not necessary.
That has to come from the factory as there are a few things involved like Gearing, E-Locker, Hill Descent Control, 1” Higher Suspension (longer springs and different shocks), Tow Hooks, Rims / Tires, and Skid Plates. Oh, don’t forget the fancy sticker. ;)
I think ther better question is, what...
Thanks. How many miles are you seeing out of a set of tires? Miles are subjective though. I think the most I’ve ever gotten out of ANY set on ANY vehicle is 25k. I do mostly around town driving, beats up tires.
Let us know how you make out with sizing. I am installing the Readylift this upcoming weekend on my off road package. 34’s are a no brainer but 35’s could be interesting.
Why are people choosing the Nitto say over a BFGoodrich? Looks alone, I agree, The Nitto looks awesome but isn’t the KO2 one of the best rates tires out there?
I really like the Nitto’s but I’ve read / watched some bad reviews that they get chunked up looking and wear quickly. Anyone have long...
Yes I do, they are solid. They only thing I’ll say negative is that hoop type steps are hard for people to get use to by indication of my family. They had to be retrained. Lol.
While I didn’t install this step, I did install Nfabs on my truck last week. All holes lined up perfectly on their brackets. Simple install, remove the paint off of the studs, put bar in place with the 9 bolts loosely, level it, tighten the bolts.
Damn, if this was about missing your 05 with those nuances, I could fully understand but a 15! Happy for you.
It willl be interesting to see Ford and GMC/Chevy offerings the next 2 years. Ram has really up’d the game and to steal the phrase from Ford, Ram has set the bar.
I bought an infinity Q50 a few years ago. That had the Bose 13 or 16 (I forget) speaker system in it with 3 10” woofers. At the time, it was regarded as the best stereo system ever put into a car. It sounded great, dynamic, tuned, crystal clear at all volumes BUT you just couldn’t “feel” it.
I...
Thanks. Yep, I’ve been running these strips on my boat for a year. With electronics and bigger screens, I always keep an eye on draw. They seem to be pretty good.
This is about the easiest setup I’ve seen and works when the cargo light is on. I might actually tackle this today....got some more “chores” to accomplish first.

Do note, when you take the 8mm bolts out, to the immediate left and right of them are clips that you need to press to release. Once these 2 clips are pressed, the front portion will come down easily.
That looks great. Same truck as mine but I believe that is Laramie, I have the Big Horn. With the 2” plus extra spacer that netted you 2” total over Off Road Package increase correct? I am looking to do the same and ordered a Readylift with control arms level kit.
Somewhat off topic but can you guys who have installed or had this kit installed clarify something for me. Since the ORP has a 1” lift already, you didn’t have to install the preload spacer. With that said, if I were to just buy a Readylift level kit for my ORP truck, would I get a true 2” out...
